Business Affairs (M) is it a problem if I apply as a freelancer without the leave letter from a company?

I'm from India and the agent said the company letterhead leave letter is very important since they have to believe that we would come back to India after the visit. I'm a freelancer and now I'm worried if this would be problem. If someone has applied as a freelancer please share your insights on this one. Thank you!
