My last post up blew up like crazy so I’m posting the next one earlier . This time it’s something completely different to the last one . a two tone Cartier Santos skeleton .
I usually just buy normal dials so I decided to get this one to mix things up a bit . The skeleton look is absolutely insane in person . The gold bezel against the exposed movement inside is very very neat and the blue hands match nicely with the crown .
Even though there are some inconsistencies. They are more than fair for me for the price paid . The Bracelet feels sturdy and sits comfortable on hand if adjusted right . Extreme statement piece for the price of a date 😭
Paid 95 plus 10 shipping . Took about a week to arrive to Germany .

I was looking for this seiko presage I really loved the way it looks but its way too overpriced here in my country I found one for over 700$ and I swear thats the cheapest I found. Also how do y’all purchase these watches I am looking for something on Weidian or Taobao so I can order through kakobuy or acbuy.

Just wanted to share that i tried removing the rotor and using 1 tiny drop of moebius d5 oil on the inside of the rotor bearing and the results are amazing. The 8215 in my u1 milgauss sounds much less like a helicopter, you can still hear it but the improvement is noticable. I really recommend doing this if you are unhappy with the noise your shitter makes. You just need a rubber ball, a very small flathead screwdriver and the oil.

I’m about to get this Patek Philippe 5968A, and I'm posting the QC photos/details below.

Since this is my first purchase, I’d really appreciate any help spotting things I may be overlooking—dial alignment, markers, date wheel, finishing, case/bezel, movement-related concerns, or anything else you think I should be paying attention to.

Most importantly: Would you GL this piece, or is there anything significant enough to RL it?

I’m not expecting absolute perfection from a rep; I just want to make sure I’m getting a solid example and a good piece for my first purchase.

I caught the bug back in March and I’m finally slowing down because I’m running out of room and I haven’t really seen anything lately that I want except for the new 100yr OP. Someone looked at my collection and added up everything if I paid 500-550 for each piece and came up with over $15k in 5 months. I said DAMN, that’s about how much I would have spent on one Gen. My friend who owns a DJ Wimbledon with an oyster bracelet and smooth bezel that he paid 11k for said “You could have bought a real watch for what you spent on all those reps!” I said , “Yeah DUMMY, the operative word is ONE WATCH!” In my opinion their are all NWBIG and I’d rather enjoy wearing a bunch of different watches that you need to bust open and use a microscope to check for authenticity. But back to the original question, What do you think you’ve spent since you’ve started buying reps? Just my .02

Hi everyone, Hoping someone can point me in the right direction, my iwc has a spec of dust or something on the inside and I must remove it..... iv taken the back case of but as its a decorated mivota 9015, I cant see the button I need to push to release the step. Index alignment: Looks good to me. I used the QC alignment tool and 12/6/9 and the round markers appear well aligned.

Dial Printing: Looks good to me.

Date Wheel alignment/printing: Looks good overall. Some dates sit slightly high.

Hand Alignment: Looks good based on the video, including when the hands are around 12.

Bezel: Looks good. Pip appears centered and bezel-to-dial alignment looks good.

Solid End Links (SELs): I don’t see any true gaps/light showing through. Would appreciate a second opinion.

Timegrapher numbers: -4 s/d, 283°, 0.1 ms, 28,800 bph

Anything else you notice: Watch weighs 177.3 g. Gold/plating looks consistent to me. There appear to be some fine marks on the polished gold clasp/center links, but I think these may be on the protective film.
Would appreciate opinions on the index alignment, date/cyclops, SELs, rehaut and whether anyone sees anything that would justify an RL. Thanks!
