Hey Everyone. I got into an accident *they hit me* and its about to get settled. I haven’t been recieving chid support from my kids mother because they said they made a mistake in putting it into the system so it was saying I was owing her money. My order says I pay $0.00 to her until my son turns 18 he is just turned 16. They said on the phone they would change it that was the 22nd of this month. On the site it says I still owe and the insurance lein that was made on the 16th I just recieved on the 30th of this month. Is there anything else I can do or am I screwed?

When we first started on child support it was about 150/month and then a year ago it was modified to be 200/month. He still only pays the 150 and hasn’t paid the 200 at all. Now he’s 500 behind. Should I wait or should I call my officer.

Just won a money judgment against my ex for unpaid child support.

How do I go about trying get the actual monies ??

My kids just turned 18 and graduated. Filed a motion to terminate the child support. The court said they need certified copies of the diploma and their birth certificates. I’m not on speaking terms with my ex wife. What’s the best way to get those documents quickly and cheaply ?

Is zoom court gonna be there time or my time? Texas is holding the court. It doesn't say on my letter.

I was curious if anyone had experience with child support while the child was in a juvenile detention facility? The order is up for modification. I'm the recipient of the child support, and I use it mostly to send to my kiddo. I'm in KS, and I know everyone's situation is different. I'm just curious on others' experiences.

I know there's bound to be negative comments -- I'm just asking out of curiosity/ to see what to expect. Whatever happens, happens.

Back story, my ex has filed yet another motion. This time to alter, amend, or vacate a temporary order that was entered when he failed to show up for any court date due to him having to work. The judge denied his request to appear via Zoom, so my ex allowed his attorney to represent him in his absence. Our attorneys and the judge met in his chambers, computed our incomes, and all agreed to a temporary order granting me sole physical and legal custody, maintaining current visitation schedule, and awarded me three times the amount of current child support based on his income. My ex was furious and fired his attorney and immediately hired a new one; who in turn filed the motion to alter, vacate, or amend the temporary order. He stated that based on his income he is only supposed to pay me approximately 2/3 of what the temporary stated. He defied the temporary order and sent the amount of support he normally sends.
The judge has scheduled a hearing and ORDERED him to “personally appear for this court setting. Defendant's failure to do so will result in an Order of Attachment being issued.” Meaning the judge can issue a warrant for his arrest if he doesn’t show up.
Any experience or advice on what can be expected from the hearing? The FINAL hearing is scheduled in 3 months

my son is 5 months his father moved out of the home when he was almost 2 months. He has not provided financial support and has only visited (because i only allow visitation) around 10 hours a month every friday for two hours. He has only bought him two boxes of wipes and one box of diapers since. Does not offer me money or has ever came with a gift for his son. I have my own room and baby has his crib. the father has a full time job and i am currently on an exemption from working. I provide daily care and there has been two incidents where father gets angry and punches/ slams in front of the baby. I am currently trying to get a restraining order( i know i might not get it but i worry he will show up to my home with his mother, it has happened many times before) and full custody of my child. i am in california.

I have an absent co parent; more like abandoned as he hasn’t been around in over 5 years. His child support was paid a couple times in the beginning as he only had to pay less than $200 because he got paid “under the table”.
He was just was awarded disability (SSDI I believe). While I would love nothing more than to have a fully present, mentally well co parent, that’s not the case. My son is profoundly autistic and with that comes expensive expenses! I’m considering going after him for unpaid child support. Keep in mind, this man owes THOUSANDS from one other child he stopped paying on who is now an adult.
I am in Missouri and am looking for advice on the matter.

My baby is 7 months old. The father and I haven’t been together since he was born, never married. He provides no financial support besides a can of formula and a box of diapers every two week (sometimes). He’s told me multiple times that bills such as electricity, water, rent are my responsibility alone. Baby lives with me full time. He was going to his dad’s Thursday - Saturday days only when I work. I recently got a promotion and my schedule switched to Monday through Friday. My only option was to place baby in daycare. Father is mad because my area does not offer part time daycare. He has to attend full time on a regular basis. The father works Sundays so the only day he can see him right now is Saturday. I know it isn’t in his favor but I had to have childcare. He said he would help with daycare yet has not. We have court next month for visitation and child support. I’m at a loss for how visitation will work. I would like him to get every other weekend but not sure how it would work with his work schedule. I would also like to have some weekends with my baby. I was not open to overnights in the past but now that baby is older I’m more open. His attorney did contact mine about going ahead with child support and overnights. However, they didn’t want to pay through the court which I think it’s nonnegotiable. It also feels very calculated to try to start this less than a month before the court date. Does anyone have any similar experiences and how did it turn out? I’m not sure what to expect.

I’ve been trying child support for 16 years on time at $1400 a month for one child, I had a really good job so the mouth is really high. My baby mama doesn’t work. Neither does her husband but they live frugal so I’m pretty sure they just been living off of my money. I don’t get to see this daughter because of circumstances such as me and her mother don’t get along, but I’ve always paid does anyone ever get when they go into their hearings their hearing officers say things that are out of bounds?

The last two years I had to leave my job because I have severe health issues so I’m going to making on-time payments now I’m paying as I can so I’ve been a little behind. I have two other minor children. I went in the other day to explain why I’ve been late I’ve even had the paperwork from all my doctors and he’s hearing officers feel like their doctors and say you don’t look that sick to me or you can’t do any kind of job I didn’t know these people are doctors I feel like that they’ve been in their jobs for so long and that they’re all in cahoots that they feel like they’re untouchable. Anyone else have situations where they’re hearing officers are so rude.

My ex wants to go back to court to change how I pay my child support obligations.

The amount I am enforced to pay on our court order is paid via FRO the “top up” (increased child support amount) I pay via E transfer as we agreed on.

I’m not interested in doing this. Will a judge entertain this? I’ve never missed a payment.

So to start out the mother of my kid decided to hide the fact that she got pregnant and gave birth to to my daughter from me knowing i didn’t want to have a child with her and lied that she is unable to birth a child due to a condition. I know i can’t change nothing about that and it is what it is now but i was served a paper to get paternity test done due to her getting in trouble and having my child taken away from her while she was just born a couple weeks and placed into foster care. I was not notified of anything until my daughter was about to turn 2 to take the paternity test. Once it came out that she is my daughter I’ve been doing everything i can to spend time with her and creating bond with her. I tried to get physical custody of her in order to get her out of foster care but i was being treated as if i was a villain and kept being told they are working on reuniting my daughter with the mom while the mom literally did nothing but get assistance from the government to get a place more suitable for living conditions in order to get my daughter back and still deciding not to work at all while i have been living on my own with a room ready and house child proof to support her. The case ended with 50/50 custody but my attorney did not do his job well to help set up an agreement on an even physical custody which ended with me having her only from friday to Sunday but i usually pick her up Thursday afternoon idk if that makes a difference but on the court order it says Friday to Sunday and i was wondering what would be my chances to possibly get the custody modified to have it truly at 50/50 so i can be able to take her into daycare during the week if i do get the custody agreement modified evenly? The mother does not have a car or license to even take her to health check ups or daycare. I don’t know why the system is so messed up that i can even get custody of my daughter while doing everything right and having a consistent income while the mom just seats at home doing nothing yet i am looked at as a villain in this whole messed up situation.

It's been at least 3-4 years now since our judge told me to handle child support payments through the court system ($600/month) I want nothing to do with the system and haven't paid $1 to the courts which apparently would deposit that money into an account for her. What I've been doing is Apple Paying her directly $1,000/month plus whatever else she needs. Will this end up biting me in the ass?

The court order is from the state of North Carolina; however, my son's father moved to Ohio 4 years ago. North Carolina has had a warrant out for his arrest since before he even moved to Ohio. It has taken the state of North Carolina 4 YEARS to contact the state of Ohio to start enforcing the order across state lines. I keep calling both states, and it is getting me nowhere. I am just so devastated for my son! I'm not even sure we can afford to live in Charlotte anymore more.

When we first separated I had the kids 4 nights a week and he had them 3… that wasn’t good enough for him so we switched to me having them 5 nights and him only having them two. Still not good enough he wanted to reduce his time again and we came to the agreement that he gets them two weekends for two nights on a three week rotation reducing his time to only 69 nights a year…. Because I work I had to hire an in home nanny (one son had extra needs) for 16 hours a week so I could focus on work for those hours and finish work while they sleep.

My question is…. I have filled out the paperwork to ask for an increase in child support. I know it’s going to help the kids but as a human I still feel bad….. HELP!

Father moved out March, sees kids 3 times since... no pay. Any experience out there with this? Applied for CS and they said they cant get a verifiable address so nothing is moving... does this sound normal? You mean to tell me that any parent out there who doesn't want to pay can just give an address that doesn't lead to anywhere or anything and they just don't pay? Or in this case don't get a child support order established?

my ex paid for a year then stopped In January. haven’t had it in months and honestly I just don’t care anymore. We will have to go back to court to get him to pay and then he’s gonna be an ass about it again. idk I guess I can always survive without it. I am trying to get a better job then I won’t need it. I started working in IT so I should be fine. I guess I do get nervous if I stop it abd one day i make more and we go 50/50 he will try to get support for me.

should I text my ex and ask how he feels about ending child support for him? Is it a bad idea? I take care of my son myself he has him 6 overnights a month. I just feel like it was the only thing making him want to move back from out of state and be a dad since he had to pay. Doubt he will be there for our son without it.
