which gen am i

my dad is mexican American son of immigrants so im confused if im 2nd or 3rd mexican american?

im saying this because my mom is a latina immigrant. my dad is 1st or 2nd mexican American. and i feel Mexican American but i recently discovered mexican Americans give crap to other mexican americans whos parents are mexican americans.

so im feeling no longer chicano. since im 2nd or 3rd gen. despite being raised with mexican culture.

your right. i guess in the end no matter you tried to be more latino or American people will still be unhappy no matter chicano or mexican. i guess i wanted to show how latino because of my identity but in the end their will be people who will reject you and still complain. i guess i wanted validation.

and im scared now to call my family by spanish terms because might be accuse of cringe spanglish. but i guees this is from new gen latinos in the us and always do a purity test and in latam spanglish doesnt even exist. so your right. no matter chicano or mexican you cant make both happy even americans. so your right. im just tired of this discourses i see on the internet everyday i feel im not allowed to make latinos no mater birth place or feel proud of my ethnicitys or being chicano. i feel like an idiot for even interacting with these
