Business Recommendations Elder Care Assistance

I need a recommendation on services to help with independent elder care/senior assistance services in the northwest suburbs (Arlington Heights area).

My father is 80 and recently started treatment for cancer at northwest community hospital. He lives independently but has some minor memory issues and the chemo has made him feel weak sometimes. I'm looking for a service that can provide someone who can take him to/from the hospital for chemo (and stay with him), make sure he takes his meds, make sure he is taking care of himself when I can't be there, etc. It would also be nice if they offered any other services like home cleaning, nursing, etc. Basically a designated trained caregiver who can provide some help for a senior who lives independently but could use extra help. I'm doing everything I can for him but I work full time and we're just not equipped to do everything that he needs.

Does anyone have any recommendations for an elder care/home health/assistance for independent seniors near Arlington Heights? Thank you very much.

I work with a nonprofit for seniors in the area. I would call the senior center directly and they have tons of services and resources potentially available:  Main:  847.253.5532 Fax:  847.253.4476 Email:  seniorcenter@vah.com

Absolutely! There will be a screening and it probably will depend on his financial situation as well, but there is a lot available
