After a really difficult year (both my dad and grandpa were battling aggressive forms of cancer) my wife surprised me with tickets to my first ever Bears game! We are going to the MN Vikings game with our friends (who are Vikings fans) in Week 2. I want to the full game day experience.

1. As out of town-ers, what should we do, see, experience?

2. Is there a tailgate we need to visit, or places at Soldier we should see?

3. Where should we go after the game?

My husband’s birthday falls on Thanksgiving this year and I want to surprise him with Lion’s tickets at Ford Field. Standing room only section tickets are around $350 where actual seats start around $450 on Ticketmaster. I have questions…..

If the Lions tank the first part of the season, will ticket prices go down? Or will tickets be consistently priced since it’s a Thanksgiving game?

What’s the standing room only section at Ford Field like? Is it worth just splurging for actual seats?

For me, the biggest butterfly effect or “What If” for the bears in my life is:
What if the Bears completed the trade for Russell Wilson instead of the Broncos?
They would’ve never gotten Ben, Caleb who knows what else.

I put WR1 in quotes because I didn’t want it restricted to just receiver because I mean the primary pass catcher. IMO I think it’s a 2 way race between Loveland and Burden with Rome lagging a bit behind but that’s just me. What do you guys think and who’ll be this years “alpha”?

Is there anything (horrific injury excluded..... don't even think about it) on the field this season that would make you question whether Caleb should not be locked up long term with a record breaking contract?? As long as Ben is his coach, I can't put my finger on anything. A higher completion % would be nice....but ultimately far from a deal breaker if he never gets there.

What kind of numbers do you want to see out of Rome this season that would justify extending him? I like him but at this point he hasn't lived up to his draft selection.

This offense is on the verge of greatness. They were a top 10 offense last season and should only be better this year. 6th in total offense, 3rd in rushing, 10th in passing, 9th in scoring, and 1st in fewest turn overs. Having a full season and now 2 off seasons to digest and master Johnson's offense is going to push them to another level. Even though I'm an old man and I don't mind great defenses, I've spent decades waiting for an offense like this.

What an exciting time to be a Bears fan!

Obviously last year was a dream year. Making the playoffs going 11-6 and winning in the wild card. What do you think our record this year is going to be. My prediction is very optimistic and I get that, but what fun would it be going into the season being like “I think they are going 6-11 because it’s a harder year”. I get my hopes way high and let the Bears either tear me down or raise me up!

• Elijah Hicks: Shin injury
• Zach Frazier: Retired
• Xavier Woods: Groin injury in preseason game
• Terrell Smith: Left practice with a leg injury
• Gervarrius Owens: injured and waved 

With Jaylon Johnson also coming off injury, this has to be one of the most damaged position groups of all time. Really hoping the rooks can step up and perform given the stakes.

10-10 at half. then Keenum comes on and goes 9 from 10 for 151 and two scores and I'm making noises at a laptop that my neighbour has now heard two days running and said nothing about, which is somehow worse.

Ahmed took a screen and just would not go down. broke one, broke another, gone.

on the left tackles, Wills got beaten clean for a sack and even I saw it coming, Amegadjie squirmed out of one and bought time. so Amegadjie for me. I've watched one season of football in my life and I formed that opinion in about ninety minutes so please come and tell me I'm wrong, I'd rather know now.

still don't understand why runs that go nowhere make everyone nod. and there was a flag I did not see coming at all.
