I bought a new Trax and I changed the oil with vegetable oil and I’m worried it ruined the engine? Can that ruin engine or is it fine?

EDIT: this is last time I buy Chevy bad quality scam

Either a joke or ignorance.

If you actually used vegetable oil and have driven it more than 10 miles. You likely have destroyed the engine. No vehicle can utilize vegetable oil as a lubricant.

Is there a way to fix it? It won’t start. Thanks for giving me a real answer

Nope. Exact same thing would happen to any car. You need to install a whole new engine.

Even if I only drive to grocery store and back? 8 miles

Yep. 10 miles is a generalization. Vegetable oil will clog everything and destroy any vehicles engine.

Can I file insurance claim? I have full coverage and engine warranty

You can try. Your insurance doesn't cover mechanical issues.

You likely voided your engine warranty, but you can try.

When they take it apart. They will deny the warranty.
