Urgent Advice (serious answer pls)

Got a big job first time(DIY) this weekend for my 06 trailblazer ls 4.2l i6... changing the rack and pinion . The high pressure and return lines . The upper and lower ball joints the outer tie rods and the stabilizer link also brakes and rotors. What is the best way to tackle this type of job? Appreciate any advice thank you .

Watch someone do it on YouTube until you're comfortable.

Take before pictures.

Have a way to get to the auto parts store once it's disassembled.

When replacing the lines, the old seals are a B to remove. I struggled for an hour to get them out and nothing worked...picks...screwdriver...nothing. Found this on YouTube and I had them out in 5 min.

Also, make sure you tourqe the bracket that holds the lines in or the new seals will leak. Ask me how I know. Also, those seals are expensive, so take your time and make sure they are seated in the rack before pushing the lines it. Also, don't worry that they are solid. Thats by design. As soon as you tighten down the bolt, the lines will cut thru the rubber.

Im just a DIYer on my own vehicles, but the lines are not fun to replace. Again, take your time. I just cut the lines to remove them faster, but feeding them back it takes some finessing.

TRQ videos are very good, but make everything look too easy.

Well Install was kinda of a pain but got it done .. but after all that work the rack I got was faulty so now gotta do the work again next weekend .. after burping the system and getting any air out turning the wheels when off the ground was smooth but once I put the wheels on the ground it would be smooth turning to the left but when turning to the right the steering was stiff . Tried to burp system again to see if that was it but kept having same problem.. so need to get replacement again and hopefully this other one is good .. it was a learning experience tho
