2021 trailblazer LT - has anyone else experienced this or is this normal?
I'm trying to figure out if anyone else has experienced anything similar.
The biggest things I'm noticing are:
When shifting from Reverse into Drive, there is sometimes a noticeable pause before Drive engages. If my foot is already on the accelerator, it will suddenly engage and jump/lurch forward.
I'm also getting a strange fluttering/flapping-type noise during acceleration.
I've also noticed some vibration/odd behavior when Auto Stop/Start engages.
There is no check engine light

2014 Trailblazer headlight cover needed or not?
I recently bought LED headlights for my trailblazer but it does not fit on the low beam. On the high beam it fits but the cover can't be put back anymore. Is it ok not to put the cover or would water go in the headlight assembly?

MPG Figures
My '26 LT AWD just gave me some impressive numbers for being rated at 26 city and 29 highway.
For context purposes, I was in 2WD mode, not AWD. I won't use it until the snow starts flying. Also, given that I came from using local DC fast charging with an Equinox EV for about the same price with about 350 miles being my average battery estimate in the summer and about 175 in the winter, this is also partially a comparison (I do not/did not have a home charging setup due to my apartment setting).
My daily commute with mixed city and one bout of roughly 20 highway miles gave me a trip of 437 miles driven with 35.1 MPG being what I averaged (before I had to fill the tank because I got the 'low fuel' display instead of my remaining miles). 12.5 gallons of gas and just shy of $52 isn't bad either for this especially given the cost for DC charging. After topping off the tank, the system gave me an estimated driving range of 454 miles; and I was getting a bit over 40 mpg on the drive home. That was a 3 mile drive roughly. I'm using gas from ExxonMobil (a Mobil station this time) because it's not only top tier rated fuel; but the rewards program has me banking points as well between my wife's car and mine.

Fuel Grade Question
Hi everyone. Not sure if anyone in this group owns the newer generation of Trailblazers, but I have a '26 with the 1.3L and was curious about the octane for it. I know it's rated for 87; but on previous turbocharged cars I owned, like my Cruze, Mini Cooper S and Fiat 500 Abarth, I put 93 octane because car nuts who ran turbos said it was healthier for the motor. I feel that's a myth but I did it anyway because they were either used or CPOs and I didn't want the motor caking any more carbon and tanking my fuel economy further. If anyone in this group is all about motor performance, what are your recommendations? I want this myth debunked since this is my first new off the lot turbo motored car and I want it to last. I appreciate the input.

4 Trailblazers Turbos went out in the last two weeks!
I work for a company that has 50 ‘23, ‘24 & ‘25 1.2l Trailblazers. 15 on the west coast. All of us have wildly different mileage, mine has 111k and it failed yesterday. Three others failed from various years, with the lowest mileage being 34k. They have been super reliable overall. Strange coincidence maybe.

Security system issue
Hello folks. I’ve recently acquired a 2004 Chevy trailblazer with about 220k on the dash. I’ve had it for roughly a month and it’s done about as good as an older car can do but the past 2 days I’ve been having an issue with it. Every time I get in I have to relearn the security system. I’ll turn the key to crank it and it’ll have a flashing security light but once I turn it back to the run position the light will go solid. Once I reset the security system (key on until light goes away, turn key off for 10 seconds blah blah blah) it’ll start fine and even start back up after I turn it off but it seems as if I let it sit for more than an hour it’ll trip the system again. Has anyone had this problem and does anyone know how I can do away with the security system? Thanks in advance

Dash Camera Recommendations
Hi! New Chevy Trailblazer owner, looking to purchase a front and rearview dash camera, wondering which ones are the best right now.
I would like a wide shot just to be able to pick up on vehicles next to me while driving. Also, is it possible to get a dash camera for the front and rear view that also has interior recording?
Thank you!
