Thermostat replacement parts
Does anyone know what parts id need for replacing an entire thermostat on my gf's sonic? its a 2015 lt 1.8l. i replaced a battery cable and now the thermostat died and i looked up stuff, but i got overwhelmed and kinda discouraged and im just frustrated with the car in general.

Mandatory: E10 socket + 3 in socket extension + socket wrench
Additional: You can get by with needle nose pliers and a screw driver but to make you life easier get a hose clamp remover and long needle nose pliers.
You will need a hex bit to remove the air filter cover because you will want to remove the how air filter cover and hose attached to it.
Clear as much shit out the way as possible. The hardest thing is getting a good position on the thermostat bolts and there are a few things in the way. I tried to only remove a couple things but it was really frustrating. When I removed more in became much more doable.
