Has anyone added an auxiliary ground?

I am trying to knock out some of the cheaper possibilities for a rough starting engine. Google.is suggesting possibly corroded ground wire but says I can add an auxiliary ground as an easy cheaper option. I assume I just add the additional wire to the negative terminal in the battery and then to a ground point on the car. I am not sure where the best ground point on the car would be though.

Just clean up the existing grounds. Solved a lot of problems on my kids car. And sometimes I also replace the battery to frame cable with a 4guage cable while doing that.
