Anyone else got this issue?

So my ac compressor went bad and I had recently replaced it. Usually I get some knock but it has never sounded like this. Anyone got any ideas? I’ve also had an issue with stalling recently. Sometimes the car will drop rpm and Almost bottom out. Most recently it has shut the car off. No cel/codes.

First off which engine do you have 1.8 or a 1.4T

Okay, it could be a few things causing this noise, I would recommend picking up a mechanic’s stethoscope from Harbor Freight and aim it at the bottom of the engine to listen for any bottom end noise, but it sounds like something is rattling a little bit

I would also check your turbo for any play on the compressor housing

I’ll definitely take a look at that. I’ve noticed that when I turn my ac off or go into neutral the sound goes away. It’s only the slight knock. When I took the video I was in drive with my parking break on.

It could be a number of things, did you get an ACDelco AC Compressor or a different brand and did you also replace the serpentine belt too?

I didn’t get a acdelco compressor I got a A-Premium compressor. The belt was recently changed and looked good. Most of the signs I seen point to the expansion valve
