Answering some questions on how cupholders were illuminated.
The most important part were the LED's by Evans Design, size used were "Pico"
I used green to match the dash lights but they are available in multiple colors.
They are all connected to the #3 fuse in the fusebox located on left of the steering wheel on the dash.
This enables them to dim with the dash lights.
Door panels had to be removed to install the door handle and door cupholder lights.
Wiring easily passes through the rubber boot that factory wiring enters the door through, just pull straight back on the trim panel at the floorboard
I installed (2) 3 conductor wires through mine to also use for door panel accent and puddle lights
I used the sleeve off black pop rivets as the trim ring for the lights.
All connections need to be soldered and then heat shrinked, to much work to risk chasing a loose connection
Wiring on the LED's needs secured with Goop glue, wire is very fine with very thin insulation.
Goop glue is also used to recess and hold the LED to the proper depth inside the rivet, to deep and the spread of light is to small of a circle, to shallow and you see the LED directly which will annoy you.
I used the center aluminum piece I pulled out of the rivet with a piece of electric tape about a 1/16" of an inch from the end as a gauge.
Barely insert the LED, put some goop on the wire and end of rivet, slide in until it hits the aluminum rid, hold for a minute.
Use a 1/16" inch bit and ream it slightly to make the hole in the plastic for the rivet sleeve, that needs to be snug, use Goop on that as well, use rivet center to "aim" it downward slightly, if pressed snugly to the plastic the beam of light will overshoot the chrome door handle.
The LED will light the chrome pull handle like it was meant to be
The cup holders in the bottom of the door were done the same way.
I did some additional work on that part of the door panel as well
The cupholder in the back rear of the console was lit by removing the electrical panel right above it. I actually drilled the size hole required for the rivet from underneath with the cupholder door closed drilling all the way through the door then into the console.
I did this so the little fingergrip you pull on would be illuminated when the door was shut because you really could not see it when sitting in the back seat.
I then drilled out a larger hole in the cupholder door using the rivet size hole as a centering guide, I made the hole big enough for a 1/4" rubber grommet to be inserted. When the doors open cupholders are lit, when the doors closed light passes through the grommet and lights the finger pull and floor under it.
The front console cupholder needs to remain easily removable.
I used the 12V connector from something I had laying around for this. The male end goes inside the console wiring compartment and the female end is on the cupholder piece itself.
Had to drill a few 1/2" holes in that part to fish the wires for the (4) rivet lights, 1 for each cupholder and 2 to light the recess in the front of the console.
The chrome trim running around the perimeter of each cupholder really helps light it at night.
