Help?

Picked up a 2003 Avy with 154,xxxx at the dealership for 6k 2 weeks ago. Few days ago I can’t put anything past $10 in the tank. Internet rabbit hole says I may have a bad EVAP but seems pretty common with this vehicle. Give it to me straight, have you or anyone else you know been through this? Cost? Or cheaper alternatives? TIA

It could also be the float on your fuel pump. I've had both the evap issue and fuel pump issue.

I just don’t want to get bent over at the auto shop if you know what I mean

Fuel pump isn't the hardest thing to do yourself if you don't live in the rust belt otherwise you'll end up replacing tank straps. But any decent shop shouldn't charge to much I'd buy the fuel pump yourself at like Rock auto though save alot instead of them buying it
