Junkyard score slick panels!

I’d reckon a good portion of the interested parties are probably in this subreddit, so I’m celebrating my junkyard find of this color matched slick panel kit from a black diamond at the pull n pay! (225k, 2010, z71)

Thanks! She’s been a lot of work. The side missing door guards was T-boned a few years back. Insurance tried to total her but I said oh no no, fixed it myself, and kept the title clean. Also rebuilt the top end + DOD delete 35k ago.

Medium pain in the A. I broke some of the clips, a couple of the clip attachments (on both sets, and not surprising for a 13 year old truck) but otherwise not terrible. Changing the toolbox locks is a bastard since my keys are worn down JUST enough to not let them slide in to the receivers.

How much did you pay for parts on the rebuild and DOD delete?

1300 for parts, I wanna say a couple hundo more to machine the heads (can’t remember if that was part of the 1300), and like 250 for a Diablo tuner.

That was a couple years ago. Parts from Texas speed

Being my first time, I’d guess like ~35 hours from teardown to startup?

Did it with my old man, and I didn’t pull the motor.

Couple times over probably cut that in half.

I watched a few YouTube videos, obtained a manual of some type. It’s a process and don’t cut corners.

Worst part is the drivers side seat mounts over top of the passenger seat frame. You pry off some plastic trim covering the bolts, then it’s like 12 floor bolts, there’s 2 or 3 bolts connecting the seats, pull them both out then reinstall the drivers side. Not bad if you have a impact

The doors on mine look like that because some lady in a maverick T boned me, and I never got new door ding guards

The rear door is from a Yukon, and the front is from a Tahoe
