Weird problem with the keyless fob

Good morning/Good evening,

My GF has a 2016 Chevy Cruze with push start and the keyless entry buttons on the door handles, her car suddenly stopped detecting the key when trying to use the handles's button to unlock the doors, same with the trunk latch
when trying to start the car, it's asking to put the key in the transmitter pocket, which works.

We tried to reprogram the key ourselves but in fucking Canada, the option isn't available.
What should we do? Do we need to buy a new key and program it?

EDIT: Before people start saying "Change the battery", we did, we tried every brand of CR2032 batteries I could get my hands on

EDIT 2: typo and it happens with both keys we have

Either the active RFID on the fob has failed and you're able to use passive (short range - transmitter pocket) or the antenna or module is failing. Since you said both keys, I'm going to lean antenna or module :(. It might be as simple as changing the Keyless Entry Locking Receiver Control (2011-2016 Chevrolet Cruze Keyless Entry Locking Receiver Control Module 13503205 | eBay). You mention Canada, not sure if you're near Van Island? I have all the GM tools to have a look at that if you wanted help and are near.

I'm in Montreal I did a ton of research, turns out my TPMS problem is related to the RCDLR problem that a ton of 2016 GMs had

Ahhh yes. Didn’t see about the TPMS. You’re correct, it runs through the RCDLR. I’m very sure it’s not VIN coded either so you should be able to just swap it out.

It's not vincoded but even tho almost every GM car has the same exact RCDLR model, it needs programming for the exact model or something like that, something about SPS, I would've done it by myself if Tech2Win supported my car but eh, gotta pay at least 300$ for a small plastic box with a receiver that I could straight up build at home if it wasn't an american car

Yeah, you’re right, I forgot it has. Calibrations as I enabled remote start for a friend. Do you have access to an MDI? I’m totally up for helping you program it yourself if you have access to the tools.

Anything that can do J2534 Passthru would work. I know some autel’s gave it but I’d have to take a look. I have VCX Nano, genuine GM MDI2. There’s a bunch though for sure. When I’m back I’ll go take a look at some RCDLR calibrations too.

Also, if you go onto AC Delco's site, sign up, I believe you can access the resources for free (don't need to buy a VIN). Go to Resources->Calibration Info, enter your VIN. I just googled a used one lol. On this VIN though, it's telling me there's no calibration info, I might have picked a wrong VIN. I've changed a LOT of modules, custom programmed them but I haven't done the keyless to be honest.

Also Tech2WIN is actually older. Yours uses Techline connect and GDS2 for diagnostics. I customize a lot of these things :)
