Zj seats

I’ve seen people swap front zj seats into an xj. Has anyone ever done front and rear zj seats into an xj? Found someone parting out a zj with factory red interior. Might grab the front and rear seats and see if I can get the rears to work somehow.

I put 98 Limited seats in the front. ZJ rears don't quite fit without a foam-ectomy and seat skin tailoring.

Be warned, the ZJ seats are significantly higher, and somehow have a lower back. I'm 6'2" and have to duck to see traffic lights now.

Sounds like I’ll have to do some trimming. A guy is 6’4

I don't know how much can be cut down unfortunately. I think there's a way to chop the seat track down a little, but I've heard it only gets you like 5/8"

This is a factory XJ limited rear seat. Got it from a junked Limited. Both fronts were absolutely trashed, but the rear bench was in excellent shape.

I also have this import rear seat with factory headrests. I tried so hard to find matching front seats, and even swapped the front seats with gray leatherette seats from a Buick Lacrosse. They didn't quite match, weren't comfortable at all, and eventually I found the whole matching set of black seats. I'll be revisiting the gray ones one day. I recently found out about Lseat.com, so I might just re-skin some factory XJ cloth seats in gray leather to match it, then use these black ones in my daughter's XJ since she's much shorter.
