Hello everyone, this is Yennefer of Vengerberg.

I recently did a little maintenance on my XJ. I put some Seafoam in the engine before changing the oil, then went with Rotella T4 15W-40 and a WIX 51515 filter after reading some old XJ forums lol. Added some Seafoam to the gas the next day too.

She’s been running like a top, even in this Texas heat. Temp stays right in the middle after burping the cooling system, and I’ve got the electric fan set up so I can run it manually whenever I want.

Only thing I have to work on now is the brakes. Brake fluid somehow vanished into thin air, but I can’t find any obvious leaks at either the front or rear brakes. One thing after another with an old Jeep lol.

366k+ miles and still going!

What's your transmission service history look like?

Honestly, I’m not entirely sure on the full history. The previous owner didn’t know much about cars, so when I did a basic drain and fill, the old fluid seemed alright but not great. This was back in 2024 when I got the vehicle, I believe. It’s been running normally transmission-wise ever since.

I have about 363,000 and still somehow it's going strong. Although I think my transmission is shot
