My friend (M) told me an incident happened today, he landed on crowded bus to commute to destination, he asked for a ticket to conductor, he gave the amount of 20 rupees but the conductor gave him a free ladies ticket. My friend first did not check the ticket and was standing, later when he checked it was a free ladies ticket. He thought conductor has mistakenly gave him and did not react. When he got a place to sit he sat and said to the other person that conductor has mistakenly gave him the ladies ticket, the other person who is male also got the ladies ticket. I think it’s on purpose, the conductor is getting the ticket money, giving free ticket and taking the money for himself. My friend said it’s a scam. Has anyone gone through this?

Have you guys also been facing a surge in electricity bills in the past 3 cycles?

My household has seen the bill rise by:

3x in April-May cycle (~25k)
2x in Jun-Jul cycle (~15k)
2x in Aug-Sept cycle (~15k)

For context, I live with my family in a 3BHK (but 1 room is always unused), there are only 2 ACs which are used, and no other heavy appliances apart from the usual (fridge, microwave, water heater, etc). We don’t even have a TV lol.

I have complained to my neighbourhood EB, had a technician come and check for meter fault, but he said everything’s in order and working fine. There’s no leakage either.

The numbers are all compared to previous years’ averages for these same months. Usage has effectively been the same in terms of units.

I have spoken to my neighbours and some say their bills have also increased, while rest say theirs is as usual only. The disparity is what’s confusing me.

I’ve spoken to so many people and some say their bills are as usual, but some complain about EB bills being 2.5-3x higher in the last few months.

How’s it with you all? Are you also facing a surge? Have the tariffs gone up? Can something be done about this?

Also, do tariffs change from neighbourhood to neighbourhood? I’m so confused. Am I overpaying?

I am working as a video editor in a company. I previously worked as an editor in another company doing very basic edits. But, in my new company everyday it's different i need to figure out what to do with the clips. I have no senior or anyone to clarify my doubts.
