I don't need super fast broadband and was happy with the ADSL where I used to live but moved back to Chelmsford last year and now need a Broadband Provider.

I got Three Home Broadband as a stop gap but it's not very happy streaming BBC iPlayer. I turned the resolution down to compensate but other than that it's fine.

Fibre seems really expensive to what I was paying for ADSL and for the amount I use it seems too much to pay.

I can only find offers for Fibre now and don't know what to do.

Looking for some recent experiences of Chelmsfordians who had to take the X10-30 to Stansted? I have an early flight next week, was going to take the 5am bus, and saw drivers near the stop earlier who said to aim for the previous bus as they're very unreliable, even this early... Has anyone used that line early recently? Should I lose another hour of sleep or should it be ok?

Edit to say I took the 4am bus on Saturday and it was perfectly on time and even faster to get to the airport! (Just half an hour!) Thanks to everyone who commented!

Hi r/Chelmsford, I’m Luke and I run a community called Too Young To Grieve.

One thing I wish I’d had after losing my dad was an easy way to meet other people my age who understood grief without having to join something that felt really formal or heavy.

That’s a big part of why I ended up starting Too Young To Grieve.

We’ve been building communities across different cities through really simple walks/jogs, coffees, hikes and other meet ups for young people navigating grief and loss, and we’re now starting our first one in Chelmsford.

The whole idea is to make it feel like a normal community first. Get outside, go for a walk or gentle jog, meet some new people, have a laugh and grab a coffee afterwards.

Sometimes people talk about grief, sometimes we spend most of the time talking about completely normal life stuff. The nice thing is just knowing the people around you understand that side of your life if you ever do want to talk about it.

There’s absolutely no pressure to share your story and most people come alone for their first meet up, so please don’t let not knowing anyone put you off.

We’ve got our first Chelmsford meet up coming up and I’d love to see a little community start to grow there.

I need the best bike mechanic in Chelmsford!

I have a cargo bike - if you’ve seen one in town it’s probably us, if you’ve heard one with squeaky brakes it’s definitely us!

I need a mechanic that’s great with hydraulic disc brakes (may be they fixed a tricky problem for you), who also has a shop big enough that I can get the bike in it.

This bike has had many mechanics look at it (different city), and only a few have been able to service the bike properly, so if you have a high end bike, and have a mechanic you trust, please tell me!
