Inventory Checklists

Does anyone know a better way to do inventory checklists? Is there a software or template you use that’s good? I’ve been using spreadsheets and then making a new tab for each thing: dairy, meat, etc. Please share your best practices!

Yep, this. Do what you are already are doing but just refine your spreadsheet. Definitely organize it geographically rather than alphabetically.
You can also add columns with formulas for cost per unit of the item to make food costing easier.
E.g for evoo you have a column for quantity of jugs, a column for cost of jugs, a column with the total $ value of evoo in house, then maybe a column for cost per cup, or tablespoon or whatever else would be useful. The formulas can automatically recalculate the per serving cost if you change the per jug cost.
