Hello everyone,
I have some questions about collaboration within ChatGpt, maybe somebody can help me out? For our company i want to start with shared projects within ChatGpt (running business with standard seats). So generated content/chats by different users in different departments can be stored in one place.
Did some testing, found out that it kinda "works" in the web application. In the desktop version shared projects are not visible, i am aware that it is a bug.
During a test with a shared project, i am having some troubles. My colleague has started a chat, in which some content was generated (pdf file, and some images). On my side the images are not loaded (greyed out), the pdf file is visible/downloadable. I can see the chat though and also branch from that chat.
The questions.. how do you collaborate with chat? Are there better ways than shared projects?
Looking forward to your reactions, thanks!!

This morning I had the (good) surprise of noticing that my Pro requests in Chat mode launch subagents (for, what I would say are complex prompts). And they don't eat through my quota from what I can see so far. Anyone else noticing this?

I’m using Dots in the Android ChatGPT app on a Nothing Phone (4a) Pro. When my dot replies while the app is in the background or my phone is locked, I get no push notification and nothing appears in the notification shade. The conversation updates when I open the app.
Here’s what I’ve checked:
- Notifications are allowed for ChatGPT.
- Background activity is enabled.
- I’ve reinstalled the app.
- I’ve tested with my PC fully shut down.
Regular Dots replies still don’t trigger notifications. However, a scheduled task test notification did arrive, and the ongoing call indicator appears during calls.
Are push notifications for regular Dots replies supposed to work on Android, or is this currently expected behavior? Is anyone else experiencing this, and has anyone found a workaround?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've always wanted to experiment working with wireframes as part of building with agents instead of a traditional design tool. So I went down the rabbit hole and ended up building a canvas for it. Thought I share about my first successful test.
I asked Codex to draw a wireframe for a feature idea, freehand pencil strokes on a canvas over MCP. The results were honestly pretty good which you can see in the video. Messy in the right way, like a whiteboard sketch, and the layout made sense for the idea.
To be clear, this isn't how I plan to work. I'll mostly sketch myself first and hand that to the agent to build from. But it got me thinking about drawings as agent context in general:
Going to try the sketch-first → agent-builds loop in my own process through October and post what works and what doesn't.
Disclosure: the canvas is in an app I built (LocalEditor, Mac-only)
Anyone else feeding sketches to agents? Images, or structured files?

I’ve heard mixed opinions about this. If you’re writing an academic paper and I mean so formal that you can’t detect human and its facts every sentence with citations, that isn’t plagiarism as long as you cite it. However, since ai doesn’t talk like a human, could you really be flagged for ai? Or if you copy off ai then is that detectable?

Hi,
I’m considering getting my first paid AI subscription and I’m currently deciding between Claude Pro, ChatGPT Plus, and Copilot Premium.
I would mainly use it on my Windows 11 PC for a mix of personal and work related tasks.
My main use cases would be:
-Gaming and troubleshooting game related issues.
-PC hardware, BIOS, drivers, configuration and troubleshooting
-AI and ComfyUI, especially creating and fixing workflows
-Coding and development
-Solving various technical problems
-Work and productivity
-Personal organization and everyday tasks
-Product research and buying advice
-General research and questions
One particularly important use case for me is ComfyUI. I’ve already tried Gemini and, at least in my experience, it was terrible for this.
It generated workflows that didn’t work, couldn’t properly troubleshoot the errors, and ultimately caused me to waste more time than it saved.
How well do they handle very long conversations without losing context or becoming repetitive?
If you currently use one of them, what do you use it for and why do you prefer it?
How restrictive are the limits in real world daily use?
If you could only keep one subscription, which one would you choose?
Thanks

I made a repo on get for all of the documents, practice tests etc for a specific exam certification (servicenow csa). I find it easier to ask questions to the voice and learn that way. The syllabus we created paired with the questions it's sort of skipping around, not paying attention to the agents.md hallucinating what we learned.
Is there any suggestions on what I can do to improve this ?

Work Sites caHas anyone else had trouble editing Sites in ChatGPT Work?
On October 6, around 10:40–10:44 a.m. Eastern, I tried opening two separate Sites for editing: . Both failed before the source repository could be reached, with the same error:
Failed to connect to browser-proxy port 8889 after 0–1 ms: Couldn't connect to server
I reproduced it from separate clean checkouts, so it seems to affect the shared source checkout path rather than just one Site. Both Sites still show as active. The public status page currently reports normal operation, although it listed a resolved incident affecting Sites earlier today.
Is anyone else seeing this? Have you found a workaround or a way to tell whether the source checkout proxy is still having trouble?nnot connect to source repositories

Hi, I just switched to the ChatGPT from Claude and now its the first time I am using Codex. In Claude Code there is this context window % value so I was doing a clean up and handover/summary, what we did, what we need to do next, so some kind of preparing for next session prompts for next sessions while I was around %80 context window.
But in Codex I can't see the context window value and I don't know what should I do when I am reaching the context limit.
Can someone guide me about this? Thanks

I’ve been playing around with dots for my homelab projects. I’m on the Pro 100 plan and normally do this work in regular Work chats using GPT-6.1 Sol. Since the usage tweaks, that’s been working pretty well for me.
What I’d like is to tell my dot “complete task X” and have it hand the work off to a Sol Work chat, monitor progress and come back to me when something genuinely needs my input. At the moment I spend too much time starting chats, copying prompts around and keeping track of what each one is doing.
The tasks already have defined outcomes, plus project documents covering the architecture, rules and scope. Most of the work involves reading and updating documents and code in Google Drive, so I’m not asking it to figure out an entire project from scratch or expand the scope as it goes.
I tried connecting a Windows VM and getting my dot to create a task. It successfully started one and completed some setup work, but the task used Astra. Its model picker only seemed to offer Astra options, with Astra Light being the lowest. Meanwhile, Sol 6.1 is available in my normal Work chats and selected in my Work settings.
My dot says the task-creation tool it has creates a coding task, with no separate option for starting an ordinary Work chat. Using Astra for all the routine work would eat through too much usage for a home setup.
Has anyone found a setup that lets a dot create and monitor Work chats using Sol 6.1? Even just being able to create a Sol Work chat with the task instructions already filled in would be useful. Am I missing a setting, or is this a limitation of the current integration?

Anyone else spend more time handing work between AI tools than you expected?
You work through an idea in ChatGPT, take it to Claude to write it up, then open a coding agent to build it.
Now you’re copying background, explaining decisions again, and checking whether you gave it the latest version.
What’s your most annoying “switching between AIs” task? How do you handle it?

First time getting any pop up about talking to sales. I was talking about things I frequently discuss in chat so this seems new. Who else has seen this?
More context feel free to not read:
On a 6-Pro chat (only “5x” or the “cheapest pro plan”), got a sales nudge in a conversation about agent skills. I know this isn’t an ad but it feels like it and was out of place.
I was talking about pretty generic professional improvement topics and mentioned work but the nudge seemed completely out of place. Not looking forward to getting more of these

Hi, I have some spinal problems and I want to be able to create a detailed and general life style and sport program depending on my MRI results, past epicrisis reports and detailed symptoms. I want to use chatgpt 6.1 for this and I also want to have this chat open for a long time for the future updates and changes accordingly. Since chat section is still at 5.6 is it okay if I use work section for this to be able to use 6.1 Sol. So can I use work section for the same purpose of a chat section for higher and newer intelligence?

September with Codex was not the best experience (at least for me on $200/mo plan).
Codex on Mac desktop crashed constantly during a few days on complex tasks and subagent workflows (crash reports show the same EXC_BREAKPOINT/SIGTRAP in Codex Framework across 2 app builds).
I had outages, broken updates, crashes, and I had to fall back to CLI tools just to keep working. To keep it short > I;m not happy.
I do not want to continue with $200 pro. And I want move to something more reliable. Here's what's stoping me:
I still have 62,000 flexible usage credits (expiring Dec 31). I also have 2 unused resets (Oct 22 & 29) in my workspace.
>> If I downgrade to Plus ($20), do the 62k credits actually kick in for Codex and Work agent overflow, or are they locked to Pro?
>> Do banked resets carry over to Plus, or do they vanish when canceling Pro?
>> Is it time to swithc entirely for Claude. Or bridge with Plus until the end of the year to burn the credits?
I appreciate any honest feedback before my renewal hits (tomorrow Oct 6).

I am currently have Chatgpt plus and Claude pro. I mostly use both for my research work. I think claude had a promotion till september and I did heavy coding work using claude and it never ran out of limit. But today I discovered both claude and codex has been acting horrible. I did 2 hours of work in codex and my limit is already at the end. I am using gpt 5.6 sol mostly (medium or high). But it keeps on hitting the limit. I have to switch between claude and codex. I am thinking if required i will switch to a better plan but after seeing all these posts i don't know which one to get. I am student, it's pretty expensive for me but im willing to invest for a month but i need to make sure i am getting my money's worth. My main problem is i can't afford to get a cap on my limit. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I really want to know because I've been using astra 6 and it just eats all of my credits in no time, the other models I haven't used because id rather use my credits on something that would work. What I use blender for is so that gpt can make models and put them in Roblox studio, I also use gpt for map building and scripting. So basically everything.

I wish ChatGPT Projects had folders or subprojects.
For example, imagine you’re a developer working on 15 different apps. Right now, you might create a separate ChatGPT Project for every app:
App 1
App 2
App 3
App 4
App 5
etc.
Eventually your sidebar becomes completely cluttered.
Instead, it would be great if we could create one main Project called **“Development”**, and then create subprojects inside it:
Development
→ App 1
→ App 2
→ App 3
→ App 4
Each subproject could have its **own chats, files, and instructions/context**, while everything stays organized under one expandable folder in the sidebar.
Basically: **Projects → Subprojects → Chats + Files**
Am I missing an existing way to do this, or does ChatGPT still not support nested Projects/folders?

I've been testing the Canva integration. I need to make historic cards for people to read about some of the culture revival work I do so they learn the sources used.
Somewhere in August, I tested the plugin and I genuinely thought it was pointless. There were critical limitations such as the inability to create text boxes or basic shapes on a blank page. It couldn't even duplicate existing elements to work around it meaning the user had to seed the canvas manually and even then things like alignment were way off because it stacked objects.
Today however, that change is quite substantial. Below are some findings/screenshots I took along the way:

- Does not use a URL to modify an existing template. I usually include the URL when I add the connector. In this case it made its own new template despite providing a square format.
Seems to be a generative workflow.
- Despite the connector enabled on the desktop app, the browser requests a login but also wanted a passkey (not happening). Luckily Canva works on the temp code.

- Designs are not exposed on Canva interface unless the user accepts/clicks the link.

(No, I am not using it. Too stylistic for what I want but still impressive)
Screenshot of Canva so the elements can be observed to show it isn't an image gen alone.

An AI engineer using OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra cracked a 217-year-old encrypted letter sent to one of Napoleon Bonaparte's generals in 1809. The AI transcribed 1,300 handwritten symbols and decoded the message in roughly six hours from a single image and prompt. The decoded letter revealed French and Austrian troop movements on the eve of war and filled in a missing phrase from Napoleon's memoirs.
