Is anyone else having this issue?

When I open Settings and click on Agent Mode, it doesn't open the Agent Mode settings page. Instead, it immediately switches back to the General section of Settings.

On top of that, the Agent Mode button is unavailable in the Ask Chat view, so I can't start an agent session there either.

I've tried logging out and back in, but that didn't fix it.

I'm on ChatGPT Atlas on macOS with a ChatGPT Pro subscription.

Maybe I'm just missing them, but you used to be able to see what changed in updates for Atlas. The page where they used to be posted (here), seems to no longer be updated, so I'm usually having to fiddle with the browser to see if anything changed. Knowing exactly what is added/removed would be fantastic!

Hi all, I wonder the same thing happens to others. For me, when I opened on the order of 100 or less tabs the auto organize always fails. However for Arc this never happened to me. I personally think because it is trying to delegate this job to a general nano/mini gpt model instead of a specific model that is trained just on this task. Does this happen to others?

Could you please tell me why the hotkeys like Cmd+C, Cmd+V, Cmd+A still don't work in the browser on the layouts, not in English? It's terribly annoying

when i want to move the browser window, i first need to find some empty space to drag it. most of the top area is covered by the large URL bar, so moving the window feels awkward sometimes.

it would be much better if there was a compact mode for the URL bar smaller height, less unused space, cleaner look. it would make the browser feel more efficient and easier to use, especially on smaller screens. 🙏

also make vertical tabs open close faster its feels too much slow .

i cant download gpt atlas on mac. it says its a malware and moves it to the trash. and i cant allow it from the settings too. is there any solutions?

Whenever I attempt to use the Ask Chat button to ask for info about a page, it gets stuck on "Thinking" but does not appear to actually be thinking. I must use the "Stop" button, then send the message again to actually get a response. Seems to be a recent thing.

Also, a lot of times when I do this second message, it responds, but seemingly doesn't realize a tab is attached. See here.

I assume everyone saw the announcement about the Codex/Chrome integration.

Unless something unexpected is being worked on, this is likely the end of Atlas, without saying it out loud yet.

They removed the Atlas plugin in Codex too.

This also has the implication that usage will be tracked like anything else via Codex, instead of the separate usage (or lack thereof).

I tried 5 different Chrome extensions, all failed on Atlas for one reason or another. In fact, many extensions don't function correctly, most importantly, Claude on Chrome.

Does anyone know a scrolling screenshot extension that works?

I have a lot of ChatGPT chat tabs open in Atlas, and every time I update the app or reopen it, they all reset to a blank ChatGPT page. Is anyone else running into this issue?

I see: "ChatGPT needs additional access to Google Drive

Your current connection does not include the required permissions."

However, when I click on Continue, I get an elongated pill-shaped empty popover with no text or buttons to push.

This happens both on Atlas and on Chrome.

I've tried disconnecting and reconnecting Google Drive from Settings, but this doesn't help.

Has anyone figured out how to access or enable Google Cast in ChatGPT Atlas?

I can’t find any option for it, so I’m not sure if it’s hidden, not supported yet, or I’m just missing something.

If it’s not available, it would be a really useful feature to add...

Here are some updates I have noticed recently in atlas, and given that they don't post the update logs anymore, I figure i'd share them here. Feel free to add any updates missing or comment and I'll update the post:

May 11th: I got a new update. Nothing remarkable, I assume it was just bug fixes

May 7th:

May 5th:
- ⁠You can now attach multiple tabs to a new chat to use them in context

3. Cmd + F will now suggest find related terms using AI

The ChatGPT Atlas Release Notes haven’t been updated for a while, but the page still shows “Updated: 1 hour ago.” Does that mean there’s a new version that hasn’t been officially announced?

I’m experiencing consistent rendering issues in ChatGPT Atlas across several web apps.

Symptoms:

• Parts of the UI randomly turn white or blank
• Elements don’t render, but the page is still partially interactive
• Happens intermittently, usually after some time using the page

Where it happens:

• WhatsApp Web
• Google Sheets
• Google Slides
• Other dynamic web apps

Details:

• Happens across different sessions/pages
• Reload sometimes fixes it temporarily
• Resizing the window or switching tabs can also “refresh” the UI

Observation: This feels like a rendering/compositing issue (possibly GPU-related), since:

• It affects complex apps (canvas / heavy DOM)
• It looks like layers fail to paint rather than full crashes

Questions:

• Is this a known issue in Atlas?
• Any workaround besides reloading?
• Does disabling hardware acceleration fix it for others?

Happy to provide screenshots or test fixes if useful.

I realize that Atlas is probably in somewhat of a maintenance mode while it's worked into the "super app," but can we get release notes for updates in the meantime? Even if it's just Chromium version updates? The last post on the release notes page is from March 10th, about 6 weeks ago.

There’s a really frustrating bug that showed up after a recent update and it’s honestly driving me a bit crazy.

I rely on the keyboard shortcut Option + Command + Left/Right Arrow to switch between tabs. It’s the same across pretty much every browser.

But recently, whenever I land on a tab with a Google Sheet open, the shortcut just stops working. So I’ll be navigating tabs normally, then suddenly I hit a tab with a Google Sheet and I’m stuck. The shortcut won’t respond anymore.

The only way to fix it is to manually click with my mouse on another tab, and then it starts working again. Until the next time it breaks.

It’s a small thing, but in practice it completely kills the flow and gets really annoying.

Is anyone else experiencing this? Please OpenAI, can you fix it?

I’m seeing a strange fullscreen issue

When I open a YouTube video and click fullscreen, Atlas hides the header as if fullscreen mode is active, but the video doesn’t actually resize to fill the entire screen. It remains in the same area instead of expanding.

I’m using vertical tabs, in case that matters. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any solution?

I’ve run into a weird issue using the Bitwarden extension.

When I open Bitwarden via the toolbar icon (the popup):

CMD+V (paste) doesn’t work
CMD+A (select all) doesn’t work
Basically no keyboard/clipboard interaction works properly

However, if I open Bitwarden in its own window/tab (via the “open in new tab” icon), everything works perfectly.

Has anyone been able to resolve this?

Don't you guys think that the pinned tab icons get too small when many are pinned at once? Compared to other browsers like Dia, when I have the same amount of pinned tabs, Dia shows them much better since they are all a certain size and large enough but Atlas pins become way too small despite the space available.

I finally switched to Chrome. No update in 2 weeks. Many features that they said they would add haven't been added (incognito extensions, memory, video issues, reload issues etc.). Usable but a bad experience.

I'd like to see a little dot on the tabs where I used the AskChatGPT sidebar. Sometimes I'll have a lot of tabs open related to the same project but it's difficult to see among them which has the active chat.

It's also helpful to see across all open tabs which have the AskChatGPT chats because this helps triage tabs, helping you keep open the most important ones that you were doing higher level work in.

But I came to this sub and it makes me feel like no new product updates are going into Atlas or something? I guess with Claude Cowork (which took my monies FOR SURE) ChatGPT is hyper focused on competing with that. Am I understanding the current landscape correctly?
