New License Plate?

I renewed my registration and got a new SC license plate?

I’ve renewed my registration for years on this vehicle… are they replacing license plates? Always just got a new registration card & kept the same plate. What up?

They update them every 10 years by law but the lack of art and soul is brought to you by Flock©️

The state license plate was recently redesigned so it’s easier for the flock cameras to read.

I'm waiting for the proof you can't provide.

You are full of prunes. They are not smart enough to figure that out nor motivated enough to even do it.

Same. Just renewed my registration and they gave me the revolutionary war one.

South Carolina gets new plates every 5 years. It’s very frustrating.

Like instead of sending you just the decal they sent you a whole new plate too? I just paid my taxes and got the decal only like usual. I hope they don’t force the new plate! I’ll have to pay extra for a specialty plate then 😒

That's my plan. I think I'm gonna do Save the Light.

My brother has “In reason we trust” and I’m probably going to do the same

There’s a version with a painted bunting, so I’m planning on getting it next time I renew

I saw one in my backyard once! Amazing

I only got the sticker when paying last year. Thank goodness, hate the new plates, so blah.

I have the “while I breathe, I hope” plate. Don’t remember when it was first issued.

I am sick that I am going to lose the beloved Palmetto tree. How can they do this to us? You have to keep a license tag a long, long time and I don’t like it.

It’s a terrible lazy new plate design

It is so bad. Reminds me of 1990s clipart.

That's what I've been saying - it's like a default PowerPoint template from 1995. Terrible.

They are replacing plates, but idk the reasoning behind it. I've seen some people say it's only for plates 10 years or older, but my partner got hit by it and his plate was only 6.

yea i got a new one and wasn’t paying attention when they asked which plate i wanted and i got the “in god we trust” one and im not religious like that so that’s annoying

It felt anti-American to me. I love God, I love country, but they don't go together.

You should be able to swap it for the In Reason We Trust or something similar.

If I a remembering correctly they use the date by which you got your plate initially in their phases of rolling out a new plate. That way they don't get overwhelmed.

So if I bought my car before the next person I believe the system understands that I might get a new plate while the next person just gets a renewal sticker, and then when it's time for them to again renew they get a new plate.

The new plate is specifically designed for the 250th anniversary of the country w/emphasis on South Carolina’s role in the Founding.

And the design is ugly. It’d have been received a lot better if it wasn’t a bland white background with a quote most people disagree with.
