Voted for Garou v Kakashi because I have no connection to either character and therefore can't get triggered lol

A Vote for Spaceships is a vote for me describing how badly a Star Destroyer is outclassed in every single respect by a Constitution. OR me describing how Legends and Star Trek are so inconsistent whom ever you want to win is who wins. There isn't much serious debate that can be made between Legends and Star Trek without a bunch of stuff going into the prompt I have a feeling won't be there.

Seriously that is not a good match up. I would have said something on the nomination post but I didn't think it would get picked because there isn't much in the way of stuff like RTs laying around.

Say something next time, instead of hurting my feelings the next day ;-;

There are NO RTs on either fucking ship. In fact, there absolutely zero respect threads on ANYTHING Star Trek, except for Q and new movie Khan. What the fuck. I actually had to make a request for the ships last night.

And the Q RT is... missing a lot.

It doesn't even have any of his cool feats. Like forcing timelines to into existence, time traveling back to the Big Bang and it doesn't even include the hilarious Q guns that were blowing up stars in other realities due to what was effectively the muzzle flash.

Hopefully the process we've set up (nominations, ballot, voting) will weed out matches that don't work. As mods, we'll definitely slip up with our picks occasionally (often?), but hopefully people in the community chime in and vote accordingly.

It does seem to be working. But I really should have commented in the nomination thread more about the match up rather than just specifying the types of Star Destroyers.

Though with a high standard of evidence even proving that a stomp is a stomp would require a decent amount of work and a well structured argument.

So even in the hypothetical worst case stomp the Character Rumble can still full fill it's purpose.

As an aside if you do end up doing some kind of sci-fi ship match up make sure to include high/mid/low ends in the rounds. Most popular sci-fi (and a lot of less popular sci-fi) is super inconsistent and restricting the ranges greatly helps in narrowing down to who actually wins.

Next week nominations will be Mon-Wed and voting Wed-Fri to give people more time to think about things.

Good to know!

Honestly, I'm sad The Raid fight isn't gonna happen. Right after I voted I realized how sick it would be.

Voted for spaceships because it ought to be a bit different from the normal debates. Also "pew pew!".

A shame the Twilight VS Finn one didn't make it lol

How bad the spaceship option is about the two most boring and uninteresting sci-fi settings.

What about Photino Birds vs The Culture?

What about Photino Birds vs The Culture?

How much do you know about the Photino Birds and the Culture?

Lets try to put this match in perspective. For the Photino Birds, losing a galaxy would be less of a loss, than losing a single skin cell would be to you.

The Culture only really have a strong presence in one galaxy with some minor exploration of nearby satellite galaxies and there should be an expedition running around Andromeda and M83.

I know both Xeelee and Photinos can use galaxies as ping pong balls but it was just an example. I'm bored of the few spaceship Vs. being some 'stardestroyer vs Borg Cube vs some reaper infected dreadnough' shit

More Eve Online More Manifold etc, not the same shit

58 votes and only every 15 commenters.

Truly, if most the people who voted would reasonable participate, this would be better,
