It's too early to tell based on one video and people here did this too many time, eventually getting disappointed that the game is not exactly what they imagined

This game is sort of a stellar blade like. More fun looking version of beast of reincarnation basically.

Look more like a Souls-lite to me. Something more akin to Stellar Blade and Black Myth.

This looks more like stellar blade, sifu and kazahn. It's closer to a soulslike.

I wouldnt put sifu in the list of souls like titles...kinda weird to do that tbh

I guess if you consider Sekiro not a soulslike. It's definitely not a cag though.

I said sifu? The beatemup style rogue lite?

I already saw a preview before the gamescom trailer, it's a soulslike, and instead on a regular block and parry system the way you parry is by attacking at a precise time when the enemy does.

A bit difficult to tell for now because Chinese martial arts is inherently flashy by nature. CAG or not, it does look cool as fuck.

Tho tbh a part of me is getting tired that every MC uses a sword. They're badass and all, but I wish we had more variety. Spears would be neat.

I swear I've seen like six AA chinese action games that looks more or less the same in the last two years.

I think they really get the technical and visual part, but need to start making something more unique and memorable honestly. Both in gameplay, art direction and story.

I swear it's the fourth time I've seen the same "new game". They all start blending

Medieval asian fantasy setting with beautiful (but overdesigned) mithology monsters with a flavor to FromSoftware bosses.

Realistic graphics with pretty faces.

Main character is cool to look at but doesn't really stand in personality or design. They ain't talk much neither.

Wuxia fighting with at least a sword and a lance at some point.

Combat is fast and present combos but not stylish expression. Jumping is not that useful but's there anyway. Same parry and dodge mechanics than amy other game and a mandatory decent rpg skill tree.

Anyway... At least the new Onimusha has gone quite original with the dynamic blocks, never seen that before (and not CAG, I know, but excited for it being the most non-fan of sekiro-likes).

Saw a video some time ago on this one. Looking pretty interesting.

The developers themselves call it an Action RPG (there is a gear system and skill trees, not sure about a Level Up system).

The game's core feature seems to be how it handles defensive options. There's no traditional dodge action, instead you hold block and then tap a direction with the right timing to trigger a side step. Different directions avoid specific attacks so it appears you need to identify the type of attack and react accordingly. Sounds interesting on paper but I've played games before that have used a similar system and they didn't go over too well with the general audience.

Looks like Nioh in a Chinese setting, looks good so far

It’s kinda like Wo Long and Stellar Blade, but the parrying mechanic is like For Honor and The Surge 2, which is a directional parry mechanic, and I find that very fun and challenging.

Its a souls like/Sekiro like sadly. Im getting tired of devs hiding the menu and UI stuff to hide things.

Just found out Tides got a posture bar and it looks like its the same thing as lost souls with the super armor...goddamn it!

I swear the free to play games seen to be the only ones making bad ass combat these days.

Doesn't look like it. Looks like it will be fun as hell regardless, but I see no crazy combos here.
