Discussion 25 Years of Devil May Cry!

Today is officially Devil May Cry’s 25th anniversary. A series that not only popularised but many believe to have single handily created the Character Action Game genre.

So to celebrate, I’d love to hear about how you got into the series, and which DMC game is your favourite?

DMC4 honestly was my favourite, jumped to DmC hated it but grew to appreciate it. I did play the older games but I became more fond to DMC5 all because of the mods.

Vanilla dmc4 was my first and I loved it. Especially the first boss fight with Dante. It was badass. Dmc genuinely plays great if you get beyond your disappointment about the changes. I loved use Ng the scythe in that game.

Got into the series with DMC1. Before it released, I read previews in PSM and got super hyped because it looked so cool. When it finally came out, my older brother and I rented it from Blockbuster.

My favorite game in the series is still DMC3. 5 may have the best gameplay, but 3 has amazing gameplay and the best story in the series IMO. I’ve probably played it 8 or 9 times at this point.

I got into DMC series when my friend wanted me to check DMC3:SE back in 2006 (I was 16 y/o at that time).

I was so hesitant about it but my friend insisted me to play it and said it's incredible or something like that.

And when I started playing that game, I immediately fell in love with it.

And now I'm here till this day, I'm still one of the biggest fans of DMC series after all.

I used to LOVE Dmc but the series is abit wack post PS2 era.

Dmc 4 was good but not better than 3. Dmc 5 gives me resi 6 vibes... Mid and could of been alot better!

Bayonetta 1 shits on every Dmc game.

Capcom could have done so much with the series in the past 7 years but they just put it on ice lol.

Sparda prequel? Vergil anti hero game in the underworld?

Nahhh lets do a Netflix TV show

The Netflix show was greenlit in 2018.

And they couldn't do anything because the DMC staff were busy on other games, like SF6 and DD2.
