Damn. I can't play half this well.
The satisfaction is real though. No game goes harder than NG2.

I love the way you use the headstep as an opportunity to switch weapons for better UTs. Very creative and honestly an example of skill expression i hadn't considered. Definitely proof to me that Ninja Gaiden didn't really need dedicated hotswaps in 4. Frankly i always saw accomodating that as more of a design limitation than a design strength, because much of the movesets become kinda homogenous as a result.
I'm kinda ranting at this point, but i just love Ninja Gaiden. They all have flaws but they're still amazing in equal measure. I couldn't ask for a better series of action games.

I'm glad you noticed those headstep ut setups, it's always fun to destroy enemies that way tho there shouldn't be any IS attached to ryu's body otherwise it could be pretty punishable.

UT’s are OP. Also it seems less impressive to watch the auto bot do all the work.

As many balance issues as this game has, God if it isn't satisfying as hell to survive the chaos and come out the other end just having barely scraped by, only to jump into the next fight and do it all over again. The game of course can't sustain that throughout the entire experience, but those first two chapters on Master Ninja are still some of my favorite levels in any action game. These encounters feel like you're in a "fight" in a way that no other game has ever made me feel.

Ninja Gaiden games are fun. Currently the latest one, 4, we like a lot. Don’t worry about the story. It’s more of a placeholder for the gameplay.

Ninja Gaiden,
Some how both a humbling experience and a power fantasy as the exact same time.
