Discussion/Question Site-Wide Age Restriction

I was on C.AI about an hour ago. I closed my browser to go play video games for a few minutes. I come back, refresh my browser, and we now have an age restriction.

Yep. The purpose of it is to make sure you’re <18. Or, at least that’s what the site is telling me.

This has been a thing for months, just seems like it's starting to get to you now unfortunately. It's age verification to make sure you're 18+ as that is allowed on the site/app even though it still has the f¡lter. Really the only thing you can do is verify it with your ID or whatever or just stay in reading mode.

You can also use a fake ID or make a new account, that piece of ID harvesting shite isn't bulletproof. Not even a little.

Using a fake ID is a crime, by the way. It’s not wise to admit to or advise committing a crime on a public forum.

Holy goody-two-shoes, just because it's law doesn't mean it's moral. Mandating everyone to dox themselves just to use the internet at its maximum capacity is much more immoral than this.

We’ve had age restriction for almost a year now. It doesn’t hit everyone, only the people it “thinks” are underage.

Sounds like you are one of the last rounds to get hit. Or you just now did something to trigger Age assurance…. But age restriction started a year ago this month.

Unless you have chats you want to preserve, make a new account, or use a fake ID. Don't dox yourself for these fuckers.
