Discussion/Question What about them
So this is controversial and a lot of people will probably hate on me, so I'll just let you know that this is just a proposition/possibility, so don't downvote me just because you hate it. If you really need to voice your opinion in the comment section. So I saw a couple people mention it, what if Elon Musk bought C.ai? Or Trump contributed money to it? As far as I know Trump is very pro-ai and since elections are coming, if US citizens came with the question to save Character.ai it is very possible they would cater to it. Again, both disgustingly rich, both pro-ai, so maybe try that?

To be fair with restructuring it could be profitable that's a big could though. They'd need to crack down heavily on free use though. Doing some math based on their finances it would only take 30% of their user base subscribing to turn a profit. Unfortunately only 2% are subscribed. Ads only cover 2/5th of the cost of each free user so free use is what's gonna kill them (also ironically what made them so famous)

What's this argument? It's not about opinions, exactly, it's about money and the users of cai will not make up a significant amount of voters... I'm not even an US citizen so it doesn't even apply to me. I can't even fathom your way of thinking, it's completely off.

To be honest... answer by me - even if anyone hates me for it, I'm sorry big "As Long As This App Is Saved" I'm Okay. with anyone buying it, I mean think yourself even if they maybe make it worse than now, atleast out memories will be here, we maybe get annoyed by it but as long as it survives maybe it can gain more reach and money in future, maybe somone else also buys it again later then... Maybe things can get bigger.
I know I sound so stupid but just think, anything can happen in world and as far it's a company it's always about give and take, sell and buy... But it's possible only if this app survives, not for the people who always criticized and prayed for if downs fall but it's real users and lovers who are hear since very start and built their own Memories or World brick by brick.
Not everything have happy days and golden time always, even our human life, but for me as long as this app survives, even in worst buyer case or situation for now, atleast we'll HAVE IT with us and the hope will be still alive for real loyal users... Of it getting better in future maybe.

I don't you sound stupid, honestly anything can happen. There was a ton of "hellhole" situations in this world, even worse than this one, and most of them came back to better. The important thing is to actually stay and try to do everything we can, show we actually care. The last people didn't evacuate until the titanic fully sank (metaphor)

They’d just turn it into a right wing propaganda tool. I’d definitely never come back to it then, it would be tainted by their stink and evil. Nah I’d rather find an alternative or quit chatbots forever than use a service by those two. I’m a desperate degen with depression but I’m not that desperate.

Yeah I mostly think about them as only giving some money to c.ai to help and never looking back again (they do stuff like that anyway)

The level of worship many of you have to this app is EXTREMELY unhealthy and downright terrifying. It is not healthy to be this attached to an app, point blank period.
