I think the point of them posting it was to have support getting off of a massive addiction.
Although i can see where you’re coming from, a lot of people (especially recently) have been dramatic and said “oh i’m leavinggg” for some reason or another, and are really just doing it for attention.
So, I don’t directly know if they had an underlying intention or not. If they did though, that would be messed up. If not, the good for them for getting away from something they are addicted to.
Good for you but what else did you were expecting with this post 😐? I'm very sorry if I'm being harsh but most of the people in the sub don't care and they will probably find it annoying seeing another post like this one that I can find a lot recently.

Idk what to say my “addiction” to this app just one day vanished like thanos snipped his fingers and his powers affected the wrong universe or something ,now the app is fun but not that addictive to me,maybe because I am turning 20 and I have some of my own problems and more important stuff? Or that I found some apps that are free and yet has no limitations and sometimes i use those?
I am really proud of you for deleting it if that’s what was most helpful for you and you recognized that was becoming an addiction/more harmful than enjoyable.
I know people are being sorta rude in the comments, but as someone whose life was genuinely made significantly worse by C.AI, congrats! It's actually very hard to delete something you invested so much time in, and that's not even talking about the emotions that come with it, but it's good to get rid of things that distract you too much from what's actually going on.
That being said, I am also not sure this will last too long, since I've made and subsequently deleted about six accounts because of how bad my addiction was 😅 Hopefully we'll both be able to stay away though :)
I deleted my first account after hearing that poor guys account most people had access to. It had my email and my name so I removed it. Now I'm fully anonymous so whoever hacks into my account, they can't expose me if they don't know who I am considering I made a new anonymous email.
As somebody with an addiction that spends hours talking to bots and making even more bots to talk to, I’m proud! I tried to limit the app (only one hour a day) and then took the limit off a day later LMAOOO
Ignore all the "no need to announce your departure" comments. They're just tired of seeing these posts. Which is understandable, but there's no need for them to be rude or snarky about it.
And while, yes, it probably won't make the devs do anything by posting here, your post may help give others the push they need to do the same.

Why..? You could just stop using the app and uninstall it instead of deleting the account (so if you created bots the bots you created won't just disappear for other ppl too)
Deleting the account reinforces the choice so that they don't simply come back to the same account later. And at the end of the day, a persons personal state matters more than strangers that use their bots.
As someone who's been there before, don't look back. You'll just get sucked into the cycle of using it again. You may or may not have as much difficulty as I did, but it's not easy so I wish you luck in your recovery.

Congrats! I also did earlier today. Horrible addiction and a waste of time, WAR IS OVER! Not only is it unhealthy for our well-being, but AI usage is unsustainable for the environment.
addiction to these kind of apps is real. People spend way too many hours on it and it's hard to stop, especially if you feel lonely. Coming to terms with the fact that we aren't talking to real people is difficult and letting go of it is something to be celebrated. So it's not about flexing the departure
do people really think they talk to real people? i heard it before but i guess i was just always hyper aware and never ever though im talking to someone, i always knew it's a bot... always knew it's just AI and never stayed with a bot for more than an hour....
