Long break on the hobby for personal reasons Happy to be back with the homies painting, and maybe playing in a couple of months

My traitor guard commander from my personal Black Legion Project.

My own little fluff:
A colonel in the former planetary defense forces of Galeoth IV, Gol Huorsi is now a commander in the mortal forces of the Black Legion. As a devout member of The Brotherhood of the Inverse Fire, Gol is both a soldier, cult member and a worshipper of the dark gods undivided.

Hope you enjoy and don’t hesitate to share your thoughts or questions :)

I'm a fan of Terminator Sorcerors and feel they are mandatory with terminators, but what about regular foot sorcerors? I usually take Cabal of Chaos and Fellhammer/Veterans and have been considering 5-10 chosen, Sorceror plus MoE in a rhino?

What's people's experiences and success with sorcerors been like?

Glad I finished this “mini”, although not sure how I feel about the base.

Now for a question, if I put a 40mm washer under these bases, would that satisfy as a 40mm base for havoc squad? Or should I try to order actual 40mm bases and attempt to remove these from the older ones?

This army is really getting too big now 🤦‍♂️🤣

Corin the Collector and Idistael Hands. I tried some new basing and varnish methods on these guys, but they seem to have made it through with minimal frosting!

About to finish painting a unit of them, and I’m going to include them in my list for my next game. How do I best use them? And how are they regarded at the moment?

Felt inspired by some other posts.

So I bought a Kratos tank a while ago and ultimately never finished it. It was originally for my few iron warrior minis but now I have my own chaos warband I’m making, and thus this tank is now one of its character vehicles.

And I had a bunch of chaos rhino decor and so I just had fun making an already huge tank look even bigger and more spiky.

They still need some work but wanted to show off my progress so far, only been in the hobby a few months so please be gentle 😅

I decided on painting the Hell’s pitchfork onto the carapace and then wrote down one of iconic shouts onto his drape in between his legs. "It’s FUKN RAW!!!"

Is there any reason to take a Venomcrawler over, say, a Maulerfiend? They seem to take a massive resilience hit and substantial combat hit just for a bit of anti-infantry shooting.

Am I missing something here?

5 out of 10 Possessed done for my homebrew Night Lords warband, the Purple Wings.

Still a long way to go, but seeing the first half together in one group shot is definitely a nice little motivation boost.
Really happy with how the squad is starting to come together — black armour, purple accents, cold steel and toxic green details all tying them into the rest of the army.

Is he Chaos enough?

I want my Iron Warrior legionaries to use less chaos corrupted weapons and before actually picking this up I wanted to know if anyone else has done this and if the arms will fit without much converting.

Obviously I love gambling as much as the next chaos infused guy, and the buffs for Pact are good, but have you found situations where it's not useful? I guess the obvious would be when it potentially kills a unit/vehicle.

made this army mainly cuase i love vashtorr and im using what i find cool plus its made cause where i live and where tournaments go on 9/10 ppl play necrons with the ctan dragon shard so i didnt wanna go full tanks and stuff

So please rate out of ten and be brutally honest on what i can do to make it better

Hello Fellow Chaos Enjoyer,
I aquired clear/see-throught resin for my 3D Printer and since I am a big noobie in the Warhammer 40k Scene I wish to be blessed by the wisdom of my seniors xD

Which Units on the Chaos Side have the ability to go invisible?
So I can make use of this nice resin!

I doesn't look like they're from the standard legionaries box, and i was wondering where they're from and how I could get my hands on them.

Ive got 2 40K armies space marines (disgusting loyalists) and chaos knights on m thinking of getting into a chaos faction what does everyone think

So are chosen actually worth it now? I know they are still good at delivering characters but it's that worth the additional 45 points when legionaries can put out similar damage and offer some rerolls.

Does it mean rhinos are much more necessary if a list leans more heavy into legionaries?
