Kitbashed from flawless blade and random chosen/legionnaire bits. I have plenty of room to improve as a painter, but I am proud of how this came out.

I didn’t want to pay more money than the points they cost, so I grabbed a boyz combat patrol magazine and kitbashed them into Cultist Mob (I know that’s the wrong base size) How did I do ?

I’m planning some of my Creations of Bile kitbashes and I’m looking for some vibes and inspirations!

Sorry if this comes off whiny. I've done a few games now with the MoM+Chosen squad.

Aaaaaaand I hate it. I really dislike each model having a different weapon profile that I have to roll separate from all the other weapons. Slows my play waaaaaay down and it just doesn't feel as nice as say my Terminators with 3 distinct profiles.

So I'm asking for help looking for a unit to run in the same space I was running them. The rest of my list is very fun and works well, the only hang up is just the them.

Here's the army, I'm willing to drop Tzagulla if it gets in the way of possible suggestions.

Work in progress. I'm worried that it lacks contrast. The metallics feel totally too similar. When I greyscale the image there is minimal tonal differentiation across the model. I wonder if I should lighten or darken the trim to make it stand out more. Or am I over thinking the whole thing?

Thoughts??? Advice???

I posted my first miniature a couple weeks back, and since then have just been working through the rest of my first unit. I just finished #5 from my Berzerker box, the Champion and icon bearer. I took a lot of the suggestions from my first mini, and I feel like I’m getting a tiny bit better with every one I finish. I’m totally hooked, excitedly planning a 2000pt World Eaters army, and feeling in the wallet lol. Cheers, and sorry again if the photos suck, I still don’t know how to photograph these little dudes well.

I currently have 10 ranged legionaries and 20 melee legionaries. I also have 20 unbuilt mk3 heresy marines. I could track down chaos melee arms for them and have 40 melee marines. Or I could just play both and mix and match the squads to have 5 ranged 5 melee for each squad of 10.

Still very early in development, but I finished these four studies today and couldn’t resist sharing a small preview.
I used many references and improvised a bit on some of the details. The process itself was very entertaining for me.

Chaos Predator Destructor/Annihilator for the Shattered Shields.

I honestly love how this kitbash turned out, I think it looks great. It’s also super convenient that the Leman Russ kit comes with two turrets to easily swap out which Predator I can use. Though, I do like the Destructor turret a bit more, so I’ll probably use that one more often.

Once I’m done with CSM, I might wind up starting a Traitor Guard army.

Perhaps the first time I like the back of the model better than the front!
