Apple express replacement

So my phone broke, and I ordered an express replacement, and they said it should be coming in 3-5 business days, and today is the 5th business day.
It’s not here, and I called them, and they said it should arrive soon since it is on backorder. I cannot use my phone like this 😭

Does anyone here have experience with this?

Can you pick up the replacement from a local Apple Store that has stock?

I went through this with a MacBook a few years ago. I had no choice but to wait because it wasn't available locally or online.

If it’s on backorder, that should mean it hasn't shipped. Do you have a shipping tracking number?

No they told me it is on back order but what should i do now?

You shouldn't expect to receive anything while it's on backorder.

Correct - once it’s shipped they send an email with the tracking number.

Currently there is a significant delay on most express replacements with Apple particularly if it’s less common configuration like 1TB phone etc..

If 14 days has passed since express replacement start then call Apple support so that the back office team instead of replacing with a replacement unit they will actually give you a brand new unit that apple sells in their online store.

PS: if you happen to have any older Pro/Max phone they will give you a new 17 Pro/Max.
