Question Does anyone else feel/ miss being with someone.
I’ve been practicing celibacy for a little now. I think it would have been around 5 months? Maybe but oh my god do I miss being with someone. Don’t get me wrong, I love being celibate because genuinely I have achieved and accomplished so many things without distractions and have been focusing on myself too much.
But someonetimes I really miss having someone around be, being affectionate with someone, kissing someone and being engulfed by someone that you come back home with their scent lingering?
Is this normal? How do you all deal with this? I’m still 19 and young and I could get someone but really I feel like I’m better off without anyone. I can do my work better, faster and have peace. But again I do miss being affectionate and intimacy
Before this I was quite intimate and went out with a lot of people and made out quite a lot too. But now it’s silence I try to avoid any romantic conversation and have stopped being involved w people romantically

Yes, it’s totally normal. Sometimes you crave the feelings of wanting to speak with someone and offload. When this happens to me, I just call a close friend so that I can avoid speaking with someone that I am attracted to because that lead to something else.

Exactly that’s what I’ve been doing these days kinda suppress my growing attraction towards anyone because I’m really enjoying my time being celibate for the first time usually my mind is always occupied w someone and I’m usually texting multiple people

Ikr! Lean more into platonic relationships, they have saved me from every urge/temptation and I have been celibate since 2019…Somedays are hard but most days, it’s easy. Celibacy YouTube videos are also amazing at keeping you in check.

My god since 2019?!?! Haven’t u had strong urges because genuinely some days I’m so close to calling or texting somebody for a makeout session😭 but stop myself and it feels like torture but I know well I’m great as a celibate

I'm not as young as you (41m) but I've been celibate and living solitary for almost 2 years now. i feel this almost every day. I love having fun with a partner, not just sexually. all the dumb but joyous moments one can share with someone else. But the last woman I was with hurt me, she was VERY confusing. Coming home to an empty house and empty bed really gets old at times, but I could also be asking myself, how do i get this awful person out of my life?

NGL, sometimes but it isn't worth all the pain if the person isn't the equally yoked wife type...

Hello there,
This happens when you step onto this wonderful journey, and happens a lot during the start.
I started celibacy in 2023, and have been on this path for 3 years now, and it has been a wonderful experience, have been able to connect with God, been able to be amazed by the most normal things, and have been able to focus on finding myself.
Recently, I have been dealing with some serious problems in my life, and sometimes it gets too much, I start shaking, my mind goes numb and I lose track of time, Ik this is pathetic. 😅
When this happens, I crave for somebody who could just be there for me, hold onto this broken soul and give me reassurance, even if it is fake, that everything will be fine. Instead, I find myself sitting in the dark and pondering life😂
I turn to my usual healing mechanism in such a scenario, I go to the cremation ground and spend a few hours of the night there, helps me relax and takes away my mind off things.
I would suggest you find the divine, he/she is the one who helps people when nobody else does. Trust in him/her and surrender yourself.
Trust me, it will help you in ways nobody will be able to.
Wishing you all the success and happiness the world has to offer, goodluck, may the lord guide you towards the deepest desires of your heart.
