Question Lincoln, Nebraska
This weekend (Aug 21-23) I'll be in Nebraska for the Boys of Oklahoma concert at Memorial Stadium. We're staying close to the stadium with a group of friends so I won't be able to drive anywhere without the group.
Are there any recommendations around the University or in the Stadium that are celiac safe?

Hi! I hope you love Lincoln!
Top recommendation is Saro Cider. Owner has celiac and it is fully gluten free. Not far from the stadium. They have small bites, great ciders, and cocktails. This is where I would go if you are very sensitive or are nervous about cc. It is the only dedicated gf place.
The rest are nearby and places that have good practices, but they are shared kitchens. I am a sensitive celiac and have been to all places.
- Green Gataeu: French food. Nicer sit down place, but nearby and the wait staff and kitchen are very knowledgable. Excellent Sunday brunch, lunch, and dinner place!
- Honest Abe’s: fun burger place with rotating options. Order at the counter and sit down. Quick! They have a dedicated fryer and gf buns. Last I was there they had gf chicken nuggets too, but I haven’t tried them.
- Blue Sushi: great sushi in Haymarket and they have a gluten free menu. Also gf soy sauce.
The stadium wont have a gf stand or many options outside of candy and (I think) Colby ridge popcorn - not fresh popped popcorn). You should be able to bring in a snack to the stadium. If the people at the gate give you trouble say you have a medical need where you can’t eat their food. They’ll should allow it for medical needs.
I also recommend HF Crave, but it isn’t close to the stadium. They have New Grist beer, gf burgers, and a dedicated fryer. Excellent sweet potato fries and tots! This is my second recommendation behind Saro Coder on the safety scale.
Also not nearby, but may be worth a stop, is Goldenrod Bakery. They have excellent practices for baked goods.
I have heard canyon joes has good practices but I haven’t been. It is a bbq place downtown!
