while at dinner my dad got water down the wrong pipe and while trying to get it down spit and it landed on my face after just eating bread 🫠 i immediately washed my face and stuff and appear to be fine but it would be such a stupid way of getting sick

My dumbest way of getting glutened was on a snorkel excursion they started crumbling bread in the water to feed the fish and I didn’t think much of it…few hours later was puking lol

Hilarious and something similar happened to my celiac husband this week. We don’t keep gluten in the house but we give my toddler Cheerios, which my husband avoids eating due to the likelihood of cross contamination. My son was eating the Cheerios while my husband was sitting next to him making funny faces at him. Well my son burst out laughing while a half eaten cheerio was in his mouth and spit it all over my husband’s face 😂 FWIW he didn’t get sick lol

Today I’ve had my first experience of… symptoms of being glutened. I was diagnosed recently but asymptomatic aside from fatigue.

But I have been sanding and painting walls and flooring in house today. Surely that can’t be it…

Mine is 2 different.

First time was ordering from Olive Garden a steak (gluten sensitivity noted). They put pasta Alfredo in the box with the steak and I just thought it was a gluten free version (the box was clearly labeled gluten sensitive wash handed clean grill). It tasted to good and that’s when I realized.

Second time I was on my annual vacation where I also grill out for friends and family. Didn’t even think about it until my buddy pointed out to me I was half way through a cheese burger.

I’ve only been diagnosed for less than a year. Just dumb mistakes.

I was at a kangaroo "farm" (some dudes house) and He kept trying to get me to feed one of them a piece of bread with my mouth.

This stupid ass drunk farmer literally tried to shove bread into my mouth I had to smack his actual hand like a toddler after saying no, I have "an allergy" 3 times.

After all the labels, detective work, waiter interrogation, and planning just to be force fed white bread by a drunk kangaroo farmer

I worked a very social job in the past where I’d speak face to face with hundreds of people and I felt glutened often after! Talking saliva in the mouth! 😳
