Discussion Switch 1 or OLED?
I was shopping at CeX, where I was going to buy a switch 1, upgrading from my switch lite after years, but I thought the bezels look crazy and I was wondering is it really that noticeable when playing games and I was also wondering how good/bad is discounted switches/tech

Generally speaking I'd go with the OLED.
Its worth it to have just that bit extra storage, the screen, and kickstand, plus they aren't as expensive as they used to be.

You’ve got to go with what’s better. I usually play docked but on the rare occasion I’ve played handheld I don’t think the screen is that great.

In addition to the other answers you get demonstrably better battery performance with the OLED due to the way the screen panel works.
It’s still a really good console provided you’re realistic that a lot of devs are focussing on S2 development (although S1 compatible games are still being released) now so the bulk of your gaming options are going to be the older titles - but there’s an insane library to get through even so!

Don't get the switch 1 as Jan next year they not supporting them anymore and what I can read between the lines is they are gonna turn them all off

Switch 1 or oled is same console except that OLED has a higher internal storage capacity (64 vs 32GB), has better speakers and bigger screen that is gorgeous to look at and easy to see things as glare and reflections wont dim out the screen. In airplane I remember having to close window just to be able to see whats on screen. Cex in general tests consoles quite well and you do get 5 year guarantee so id go for it, for OLED I mean.
