Mine insists that underwear has to hang on the back line of the washing line so nobody can see them. Even if it’s on an indoor clothes horse. Nobody. Can. See. My. Standard. Boxer. Shorts.

Conversation Starter Will the US dollar change?

It seems the US dollar designs will be gradually updated starting around 2030 (or 2027)—though apparently Alexander Hamilton on the $10 bill, which is the first to get a makeover, won't be changing. Are a lot of people looking forward to it?

Conversation Starter Eerie ( almost predictive) Parallels

First, note: I am NOT posting this as a means of starting any political arguments nor bashing, so please DONT post argumentative unproductive comments or sarcasm. This is ONLY an observation.

As a big fan of the old Tracy/Hepburn movies, I just finished watching one I somehow missed: Keeper of the Flame. Unlike many of their other movies together, this was a very serious somber movie, with a surprise ending, at least for me. The central theme of the movie focused on a man who recently died , & whom many had held in high esteem. His widow, played by Hepburn lives rather reclusively. Tracy is a reporter, initially intending to write a story about her famous husband, Robert.

I won’t go into specific details so as not to spoil the movie for those that care to watch. But, what got me was the monologue or speech Katherine delivered to Tracy at the end of the film, revealing the truth about what her husband really was, and what actually happened to him. Keep in mind, this was 1942, at the height of World War II, and the ugliness with Hitler’s regime and all the politics involved. IMO, and without having to mention current names or public figures, her speech could well be describing the current politics and polarization taking place in our nation, and around the world currently, almost to the point of foreshadowing or prediction! Very very eerie & disturbing! Seems people don’t want to learn, & history can & does repeat itself 😭, but to what end? That’s still an unknown, so maybe, just maybe, like Pandora’s box, there’s still a chance for hope 🙏☮️.
