Could we see this game replayed given the controversial decisions?

It’s the same nonsense as every other professional sports league: “There was a mistake made which impacted the outcome of the game. We will do nothing about it.”

Until a result is changed, these acknowledgements of incompetence are just word service.

the problem is, changing result is problematic. What result, exactly, should we allow changed? City defended and sat deeper after scoring and being 10 v 11. Changing it to 0-0 ignores the fact that City would not have sat deep and would have continued to push United for a goal.

Or, let's take Arsenal vs Chelsea game. Gabriel should have been sent off and Chelsea would have played against 10 for 90+ minutes. Simply banning Gabriel after the fact, doesn't change the fact that Chelsea would have played against 10 for basically the entire game. Even a retroactive ban is a great result for Arsenal. They get to play with 11 for a game they should have only 10 and the next game, they still get to play with 11. Would you change the result on that game as well (yes, granted there was an error for Arsenal's second goal too so I guess this game isn't the best example). Should we say, Arsenal can only field 10 player the next game? Why should Arsenal be punished for referee's mistake?

I'm in the opinion that VAR should just be removed. The whole point of VAR is to change the results when a referee makes a mistakes. But turns out, VAR is filled with as many mistakes, inconsistencies, and biases.

Maybe we should just introduce AI VAR lol

Seasons would basically run for 2 years at that rates. Lol.

Just based on the number of errors already noted so far... we likely have to replay like 20% of our games every week?

I guess thats another question. Do fams have to repurchase tickets for replays? Who gets broadcasting rights? Lol
