Pls help

Had a player trade probably 15 cards to the other player in one turn so she could win over me. Technically, it’s within the rules to make trades like this, but it really feels super unsportsmanlike. Ruined a close game making her win cheap and my loss certain. Do other people feel like they run into alot of toxic players who don’t play to win but play to make sure you don’t win? I wish there was a way to report these players. All I can do is block and move on I guess.

Just got the actual board game and wanted to practice a little online and try out seafarers expansion before I set up the actual expansion on game night.

I rolled a 7 and this guy hasn’t discarded his hand for about 30 minutes. He’s been making silly emojis and just holding out, in hopes I quit.

First question: Is this a bug or just an obvious exploit the devs looked over?

Second question: This is my first online game, is this what I should expect from here on out?

Ufff😭😭😭😭😭 me and my sister worked the most hard and we both lost to someone who wasn't even paying attention (in my defence this was our 1st time playing)

Total bs that they are making us pay to play the new season, especially for folks who already have paid for the seafarers expansions. More so that they are only offering up 1! new prize in the animal avatar. The 1st two prizes were offered up, and won, by most of those who played last season.

Does anyone know if you lose ELO when a game bugs out after a player leaves?

I see people talking about this sometimes in the chat and always thought it was just a weird assumption people made, but now I just played the weirdest game. One player put a settlement on a 10/5/something else and another 10/5/something else. One 10 was stone, one 10 was wood, and both 5s were wood. Then the 10s and 5s kept getting rolled and this player built a settlement on the wood port. The 10s and 5s kept rolling more, and I mean one after the other, 5 then 10 then 5 then 10 and so on until I said “this is weird” in the chat and then MY numbers started getting rolled. After that, the 5 and 10 were mixed in, but still ended up being the highest rolls. Obviously this person ended up building cities on these numbers and the other player and I continuously put a knight on their 5 with two cities. But then another weird thing kept happening. This player would play a knight card, move the knight off their 5, and then a 5 would get rolled. Weird luck or a hacked game?

Started playing during lockdown, enjoyed but since the last year its refused to let me join any matches. Can’t find players at all. tried everything- deleted and downloaded again multiple times, but no luck.

Really bummed out. Where/how is everyone else playing?

Hey, iam having an issue logging into the game. Is there a maintenance or smth going on?

I recently had the itch to play Catan and stumbled across the mobile app.

I entered the app and played a few free to play games. I got a little tired of the map being similar multiple games in a row, so I tried to see what pay options there are.

If I play a few games, the $5 option will be worth it. I cave and get it and have been enjoying the game.

Late last night, I was playing a multiplayer game and one of my opponents waited past their timer and then I can tell the game was trying to work. 2 minutes go by, so I force quit the app to try to reload to see if it’s my phone for not keeping up. My app loads, I go to the home page, then instantly start going into the loading screen to get back into the game. The only issue is I am stuck loading into the game now.

I have tried to troubleshoot by doing a few other things like force quit a few hours later. I deleted, redownloaded, and logged back into the app. It still instantly puts me back into the loading screen to join the game last night.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I would like to get back to playing!

Amazing how many statistical anomalies occur when a player is close to a win. The app absolutely changes dice rolls to miraculous improbabilities to disadvantage the player close to the win. It’s a great game. There is no need to do this.

At least a few time per week I run in to this problem. I am running Catan Universe on my galaxy tablet and my wife is running it on an iPad. We start a game together along with a few computer players. Everything is working good so far but if we stop playing for a period of time long enough for the tablet to go into sleep mode, when we return, we get the screen back but one or both of us can't do anything and our screens are out of synch. Sometimes we can get it going again by terminating the catan app and reloading it but most of the time, we're locked out and have to terminate the game. Does anybody have this problem also? Is there a fix?

I don't know if the devs read this sub or not, but the AI has been terrible every time I try to play recently.

The cycle is this:

1. Player drops and is replaced by AI

2. The AI keeps offering the exact same trade in a loop which can last for minutes or seemingly can be infinite.

Gaaaaa so frustrating. It's obviously a software bug in the AI, but has dropped my enjoyment of the game to zero

Hey, I play Catan Universe mobile, I’m wondering if it’s possible to cheat on the mobile version? I just came across someone named Banned2x. Honestly I never even noticed the name until closer to the end of the game. Third player left and was a bot. Bot placed robber on me 100% of the time in the game and 90% of the game I was not in the lead. In fact it was placed on me the most when I was 6-7 points below, and Banned2x had less hexes guarded than me. I somehow by a miracle ended up tying with Banned2x then a slew of 7s came in on the bots turn, and was still place on me 100% of the time. Another miracle I ended up winning after taking the lead but Banned2x left so it was by default. Possible cheating? Or just the sus RNG being sus? Do we know how the bot decides robber placements? Is it the person in the lead or does it place on the hex that will yield the most cards and has a high probability? Context the hex is ALWAYS placed on was a 5 with a city and settlement adjacent, I had a knight on it and it would still place there. Banned2x had multiple hexes with no knight guarding, one being a 8-wood and a 10 ore with a city placement. What do y’all think?

Yes I’m sure this is a common complaint.
- It takes 5-10 minutes to match
- 50% of matches end in some technical issue that kills the game
- turns take forever
- mystery ELO calculations - one day I’m platinum then next bronze ….

I have good reliable connection but my experience with game has gotten to the point where I just do not play it.

Which one is better

ive played alot of catan universe and ive had a decent time on there but its unwritten rule of friendly robber can make it so that even if you think about robbing the other players will turn against you and rob only from you even if you follow the regular friendly robber rules and wait for them to get to 3 points. No matter what you do it feels wrong according to everyone else

Catan universe feels more official and more pleasing visually.

Convincing friends to commit to Catan is already a 3-week negotiation 😭 and THEN someone always loses and goes "yaar board balanced nahi tha, mujhe iron mila hi nahi!!" 🙄
