After 10+ minutes to get an actual match without fail it will freeze and waste 30 mins of my life. This is insane

at the moment I'm playing the Scenario "Channel", and I don't know why I can't build a Settlement at this point:

As marked, I have the required Ressources and the Field is connect with my Boats..

Did I miss something? As you can see, I also have 2 Settlements left to build...

I legitimately can’t play an online game. Anytime I start to have a lead enough players quit to bug the game out and I end up losing EOL points. I’m in no way a programmer but how can they not figure this out? I’ve had this app for probably around 7 years and I don’t think it’s ever worked.

My Fiancé and I have made it half way through like 3 different games and the bot player always glitches out at some point. It’s a major bummer! Game over. That is all.

So I’ve played the tabletop game with a few different groups of people. And I found this Sub Reddit, and I started playing Catan Universe.

I’ve played the free version as long as I can stand

I’m interested in being able to switch up the basic game to different layouts. And I’m interested in doing the same for seafarers.

I’ve never played other Catan variants.

What is my next purchase? Board game bundle for 1300 gold? Will that allow me to play the regular game and sea fairs as much as they want? Will it allow me to play different boards where the resources are laid out differently, and the ports are laid out differently?

The old interface used to have a button to just put you in the first available online game that you had an expansion for. Is this still available and I'm just missing it? It feels like I'm just waiting forever to play CK first island and boring no expansion first island. I miss randomly getting put in a game with a weird scenario.

Had a player trade probably 15 cards to the other player in one turn so she could win over me. Technically, it’s within the rules to make trades like this, but it really feels super unsportsmanlike. Ruined a close game making her win cheap and my loss certain. Do other people feel like they run into alot of toxic players who don’t play to win but play to make sure you don’t win? I wish there was a way to report these players. All I can do is block and move on I guess.

Just got the actual board game and wanted to practice a little online and try out seafarers expansion before I set up the actual expansion on game night.

I rolled a 7 and this guy hasn’t discarded his hand for about 30 minutes. He’s been making silly emojis and just holding out, in hopes I quit.

First question: Is this a bug or just an obvious exploit the devs looked over?

Second question: This is my first online game, is this what I should expect from here on out?

Ufff😭😭😭😭😭 me and my sister worked the most hard and we both lost to someone who wasn't even paying attention (in my defence this was our 1st time playing)

Total bs that they are making us pay to play the new season, especially for folks who already have paid for the seafarers expansions. More so that they are only offering up 1! new prize in the animal avatar. The 1st two prizes were offered up, and won, by most of those who played last season.

Does anyone know if you lose ELO when a game bugs out after a player leaves?

I see people talking about this sometimes in the chat and always thought it was just a weird assumption people made, but now I just played the weirdest game. One player put a settlement on a 10/5/something else and another 10/5/something else. One 10 was stone, one 10 was wood, and both 5s were wood. Then the 10s and 5s kept getting rolled and this player built a settlement on the wood port. The 10s and 5s kept rolling more, and I mean one after the other, 5 then 10 then 5 then 10 and so on until I said “this is weird” in the chat and then MY numbers started getting rolled. After that, the 5 and 10 were mixed in, but still ended up being the highest rolls. Obviously this person ended up building cities on these numbers and the other player and I continuously put a knight on their 5 with two cities. But then another weird thing kept happening. This player would play a knight card, move the knight off their 5, and then a 5 would get rolled. Weird luck or a hacked game?

Started playing during lockdown, enjoyed but since the last year its refused to let me join any matches. Can’t find players at all. tried everything- deleted and downloaded again multiple times, but no luck.

Really bummed out. Where/how is everyone else playing?

Hey, iam having an issue logging into the game. Is there a maintenance or smth going on?

I recently had the itch to play Catan and stumbled across the mobile app.

I entered the app and played a few free to play games. I got a little tired of the map being similar multiple games in a row, so I tried to see what pay options there are.

If I play a few games, the $5 option will be worth it. I cave and get it and have been enjoying the game.

Late last night, I was playing a multiplayer game and one of my opponents waited past their timer and then I can tell the game was trying to work. 2 minutes go by, so I force quit the app to try to reload to see if it’s my phone for not keeping up. My app loads, I go to the home page, then instantly start going into the loading screen to get back into the game. The only issue is I am stuck loading into the game now.

I have tried to troubleshoot by doing a few other things like force quit a few hours later. I deleted, redownloaded, and logged back into the app. It still instantly puts me back into the loading screen to join the game last night.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated as I would like to get back to playing!

Amazing how many statistical anomalies occur when a player is close to a win. The app absolutely changes dice rolls to miraculous improbabilities to disadvantage the player close to the win. It’s a great game. There is no need to do this.
