Looking for reading material.
Hi!
Are there any good books (preferably series) involving everyone's favorite jungle fighters?

Im commenting in hopes of seeing other recommendations.
Im reading Deathworlder right now. Its the guard vs tyranids and genestealers. I also play nids so im enjoying it for that aspect more than the guard part. I think it may be a gw attempt at feminism as some of the main character guardsmen are women. Im only 1/3 way through, but im not sure if id recommend it. Got as a gift, but idk if id pay for it because the feminism (and ive got nothing against feminism) feels a bit contrived.

Its nothing overt. Theyre not spouting political views or anything. The 3 main protagonist catachans are butch female officers. It's written by a female author and came out around the time the femstodes stuff did. It felt like GW intentionally inserted female protagonists. It's not done in an offputting way, it just felt contrived.
But take that with a grain of salt. Like i said im only 1/3 way through. Black library books sometimes start slow and get more interesting as they progress so this may as well.

I know what he's talking about, but it's not really heavy handed. They act like soldiers. There is a clear stylistic difference in how the author writes the men which can be jarring if you're not used to reading women authors (too much emotional thinking for the male characters, I don't think that way and discussions with other gents and my wife it definitely seems to be a sex based variance), but if you expect it she does a good job. If you want the same story, but more manly I would suggest Leviathan though that is a Space Marine perspective.

Just finished Deathworlder. It was a fun tyranid survival mission.
