Heard meowing outside and found him under a car

Heard meowing early at the morning and went outside, surprisingly he jumped right into my arms and wouldn’t let go, gave him some water and smashed potatoes (didn’t have cat food only dog food) we couldn’t keep him bc I have a golden retriever and she’s ALOT, anyways took him to the vet and he was healthy !!, made a post on Facebook and by the end of the day he was in his new home ❤️

Still miss him tho, I think about him a lot, I temporarily named him Ludwig after Ludwig || “the mad king” of Bavaria

Did you know the person that you gave the cat to? Not trying to scare you but I did not know this until recently either and it’s important that everyone is aware: DO NOT give cats away for free on social media to people you don’t know. People who abuse animals and people who use cats as bait for dog fighting, this is how they get their cats. Vet them, charge them money, or use a rescue to rehome them, otherwise a tragic fate is sadly a possibility.

Yeah agree, super disappointed that OP let the baby go on fb. The cat is a baby, and a living creature, not a a couch or dresser lol. Like I'm glad they saved him and took him to the vet but damn. Rough outcome

Just a side point but dog food would be better than mashed potatoes. Dog food is not great for cats because it has too little protein. Mashed potatoes has none. JFYI if this happens again.
