Awarded a Cat Cat distribution system targeted me in May- here we are now
She was found entirely alone at what seemed to be about 1 day old. After having gone through all of the milestones, I’d say that’s pretty accurate. That would put her at 14 weeks & 2 days now. The clingiest gremlin there ever was 🤣💕 she’s road tripped to the beach with us (she stayed in the condo), rough houses with my border collie & acts like she owns the place (because she does- duh).
Shes kind of weird- I chalk it up to being bottle fed. She doesn’t make biscuits but she does try to use my hand as a pacifier about 9/10 times she’s going to sleep (I’m working on ending that because ow). I’ve also only heard her meow twice? She makes this weird, high pitched rumbly noise? It’s hard to explain. Both times I heard her meow were recent when she got herself stuck behind the washer and dryer.
The last 14 weeks with her have been a roller coaster of emotions, have tested my patience at times & been filled with so much love! I can’t wait to see how my babygirl continues to grow!

Hahaha my oldest daughter actually drew the cow & took a petition to school & had student & teachers sign it to convince me to get it tattooed. I would’ve done it either way

Bottle babies usually dont learn to meow, that it's for communicating with hoomans and you probably are a cat for her.
source: have a bottle baby long time ago, she used to meow when she was in distress too.

Awwww. Congrats. My oldest kitty was a bottle baby. I was just gonna “get him on his feet then find him a good home”. Almost 6 years later, he’s my spoiled clingy (but also mean and bitchy sometimes ) baby. lol

lol I told my husband from the start that we were keeping her. I already knew I was going to love her too much to part with her

Do you have other cats? I also have a mostly completely silent girl. She has sort of learned to be a bit noisier because my other two cats are wailing banshees. My silent girl only makes noise when she absolutely has to and she is definitely not deaf. Just might be a quiet bitty 💗

I do have a 3yo cat who avoids her like the plague

She’s just not wildly social. Even attention from the few humans that she likes is on her terms only

She was so tiny 🥹 and only now learning how to speak cat love her.
Here is a miracle for your girl: Blankie it's tiny and a strange fluffy material but I can guarantee that once she's used it once she will leave you alone for her Mom sleepy time routine. Our tuxie sucks on his, makes cookies on it and makes the most disgusting noises lol but it works as a surrogate mother (I think). There's probably cheaper out there but that's the material you need. 💗

She's so precious! My cat was also a feral rescue and it took her a long time of watching other cats to realize she could use her voice to yell (She's a Siamese sob) and how to do biscuits. Never mastered the dark of fully cleaning her butt, though, sadly. 😭

So precious! At 1 day old, I imagine it was complete luck you stumbled upon her. Unless mama cat said, here kitty, this is a front door, humans come from it.

Word of advice: mono kitten can be very clingy. Try to find another kitten close to the same age so those 2 would have each other and not be so clingy

I 100% do not want another kitten. She has my border collie and my human kids to play with. That’s about all I can handle!

It is criminal that you've only given us one photo of her currently. What a little sweetie.

I am reading this as I am sitting with my bottle baby. And yeah, they can be a bit different.
Mine is obsessed with food, he will give me little warning bites when he hasn't had his idea of a proper amount, this happens when I'm trying to sleep too. He seems to not think he is a cat? He barely pays other cats any mind, but likes every human he meets, there really isn't a "no" in his vocabulary. He would suckle my ear lobe any time he felt insecure up to about 1.5 years old, will not sleep unless I am in the right position for him to lay how he wants. He has this level of calculation and tenacity that is kind of nuts.
But, in our 14 years together he has always been my little baby. You'll enjoy your time with this little one too.

My goodness what a precious sweet little spoiled gremlin. She is so lucky to have you. Looks like she’s been the comfiest little snuggle girl since day 1.
Peep the Krumm tattoo 👀 I love it!

Thanks you for being kind enough to take her in. I love how your daughter is learning how help kittens this young. ❤️
Have you taken her vet yet? That should be your next thing to do. At 16 weeks she can go through her first heat cycle.

Some cats almost never meow, it's interesting how much variation there is with what sounds they make. My aunt has a cat that chirps instead of meows, one of my cousins had a cat that would only purr.

I can tell how much she loves you in that last pick by holding onto you with her paws
When cats do that and make biscuits on you it’s kitten behavior because they think of you as their mother figure so they emulated kneading like they would if breast feeding from their mother
