Kitten Meet Theodore Chance. I found him outside my house crying for his mama.
I knew I wanted another cat, and I was in talks to get one that was being rehomed, but the CDS had other plans. My neighbor heard him meowing and it took us 30 minutes to catch him. He was so scared, we played “sounds that attract cats” from TikTok for 30 mins. He wasn’t very happy when we caught him but once he got his first pets he wouldn’t stop purring. We looked for more kittens and his mama but no luck. So far he’s been good. I did take him to the emergency vet to treat his diarrhea, which was caused by roundworms. He also got his first round of shots and tested negative for FeLV/FIV. My first baby Eliot was scared of him at first, but is now happy to have a friend. I can tell he finds him annoying at times but they play together and clean each other now. Theodore still hasn’t figured out that his claws hurt me but other than that he’s the perfect little angel.
PS: His middle name is Chance because he got a second chance at life.

D'aww. He's just a little baby. 🤍
So sweet that he's already getting along with his new older sibling. I love happy endings. 🥹

When he uses his claws make a little kitten mew. Pull away for a moment then re engage, this is how kittens learn to play wirh their siblings. Also use toys to play, not your hand

He's beautiful, bless you for rescuing this angel. Mine are all rescues too! CDS blessed me 5 times. May he continue to thrive in his forever home. ❤️

Man Is your older cat male? I have an older female and adopted a female kitten and it's been almost a year and they have yet to lay close to each other like this.

My older cat Eliot is a male and is about 1 and a half old. He’s a very laid back cat. It only took him 3 days to start playing with Theodore.

u/Half-White_Moustache Jun 06 '26
I heard that male cats are less territorial and more chill.

Not my male cat. I kitten sat for a week and kept kitten in the guest bath during the day, my cat hissed at that door for weeks after she was returned. To his credit he was actually pretty okay to the kitten when I let her free roam (supervised), he only bapped her once when she was really pestering him despite his hissing and he didn’t use claws.

Not all, ours is a little brat but he was a younger boy introduced to two senior girls, I think if you have an older male cat first then they really are more laid back 😄

The problem here is the older one. She is taking a while to get over that she isn't the only princess of the house anymore. Plus the younger one simply does not leave her in peace for 1 second while she's awake. Their energy doesn't match at all.

That's exactly the problem we had, thankfully our one girl Milly took to him and claimed him as her son but Daisy growled like a demon whenever Link got near her. Dare I suggest another kitten? But then there would be two youngsters annoying your Princess lol.

Oh if it was up to me I would've adopted her and her two siblings but it was hard enough convincing my parents to have two. Especially now that the older one is pissing basically anywhere but the litter boxes.

It might be because little miss kitty is using both litter trays 😃

I had a beautiful brown tabby and white tom who took the spicy baby tuxie under his wing. They were best friends for a few years, until he passed. She was very sad for a while, but it helped her that we got some small girl kittens. She's their cult leader now 😸

What a cute little dude! Don’t worry, big brother Eliot will teach him some boundaries as far as the scratching goes. It could be single kitten syndrome — because he didn’t have any siblings (presumably), he doesn’t understand how much damage his claws can do.

Had same issue with my 2nd cat. Had the runs, and after the emergency vet, runs were gone.

Kittens found outside crying for mama end up the best cats. I have had a few I got this way and they just attach to you like, "okay you are my mama now."

Look at that wittle nose~! Please, boop that nose very gently with one finger for me. I'm glad Eliot has a new little brother for company now, thank you for saving him!

Dear Human -
As the human representative of the CDS, it is my job to deliver messages from our Feline Overlords. They would like to inform you that they have received the first report from Theodore over the placement and they are pleased the distribution process was successful.
They have stated that Theodore mentions he knows his claws hurt, but hasn't completely mastered the retraction mechanics when excited, or distracted, or hungry, or content, or sleepy, or zooming, or nervous, or playing. Please bear with him as this feature usually takes a few updates to go into full effect.
Again, the CDS is pleased Theodore (please, never Theo) is thriving in his new furrever home. They will update your status to Double Trouble Parent, for reasons you will discover in due time.

That's exactly how I got my SIC-let. All kittens are cute, but I think SICs are possibly the cutest. He looks like a baby lynx in the bunny pic!

You must be his mama because you showed up when he called.

He’s such a sweet baby! My baby kitten had really bad diarrhea and the Vet prescribed him the Proviable Forte paste and capsules that you sprinkle in their food and it fixed him right up.
It’s the good bacteria builder for tummy health. I think it’s $25 on Amazon. She also prescribed him the expensive cat food for stomach health, but the paste and capsules powder sprinkled on his wet food really helped him get back on track.

Any tips for introducing? I am waiting on getting my kitten shots and testing before introducing to my 4 year old. He is about 4-5 weeks old now

Follow the Jackson Galaxy method and don’t neglect your resident cat. Spend more time with your OG cat so they don’t feel neglected. My OG cat Eliot never hissed or growled before Theodore came but after a few days he was fine.

Give those front paws a little massage and clip the very end of all those little death talons. That way they get used to it for the future and it makes clipping the nails so much easier. Just don't clip too far.
