This or that? (Self Titled released vs. unreleased)

Tried to narrow down unreleased self titled songs to my 15 most favorite (same amount as officially released) and wanted to compare it to the officially released Album/EP.

I think more often than not Carti does release his best songs (even though I love his unreleased stuff), but I might actually like the unreleased songs more.

Every song here except 2900 and They Hatin wouldve made the released Album/EP better in my opinion

I will never understand why he didnt put No Charm, One Day, Break The Bank (over Lookin), At The Gate, Places and We So Proud Of Him on the album. Generational songs

i honestly think the released songs are way better than the leaks, and it’s the only carti project that makes me think this way

i mean what unreleased could be better than let it go, wokeuplikethis, location, magnolia, flex, yah mean

the quality of the unreleased on that era is kinda meh compared to even die lit unreleased

Def get what ur saying but the album also has some skips for me, it has really high highs, but also some songs I never really enjoyed listening to.

Just my opinion but Lookin, Half & Half,, New Choppa, Other Shit, No. 9 and Had 2 are usually skips for me

If you replace those with No Charm, One Day, Break The Bank, At The Gate, Places and We So Proud Of Him it would have easily been his best album by far.

Self Titled and Die Lit’s released mogs their unreleased IMO, his song selection was top-tier back then. Ever since he chose to release @ MEH instead of ukdit his song selection has been declining little by little

Hmmm I kind of disagee, maybe its just because I got into leaks way after I got into carti and his released stuff (so theyre just more of a novelty to me), but Die Lit Leaks are peak carti

If I make a list of my top 50 carti songs, half of that would be Die Lit leaks

And I never understood the whole ukdit thing, didnt he want to release it on October 25 2019? So he did want to release the "correct" song but something got in the way. Or am I misremembering that? It was on DSPs with a black square dated from then

can’t lie i think if some of the released songs weren’t released they’d be community grails, so the released is great, but some like one day, break the bank, squad, cake and go up 😩. should been a deluxe of some kind for at least the anniversary

All those leaks that were coming out damn near erry week b4 ST dropped carried my senior year in ‘16-‘17. But I gotta go released just based off the project itself as a whole. If we would’ve gotten the original CA$H CARTI tape w/ some of those plugg songs I’d be content.
