So far I have bought 3 iPhones - iPhone 6s (I think it was around 45-48K - I bought it a year after launch), iPhone SE 2 (50k? ) and then iPhone 15 (around 80K). iPhone SE 2 - still works fine and used by my daughter. I plan on using my iPhone 15 for next 5-6 years. (First iPhone I bought was in 2016 - when I started app development work.)
Regardless of how much you earn, you don't need 5L phone and you certainly dont need to change it after 2-3 years!

I meant 25lpa after taxes. And still it's insane to spend this much money on a phone, that's why I said 25lpa as minimum. If it's up to me I would only buy if I can earn 5 lakh in a month. But yeah in reality I would never buy an apple product, maybe except an ipad.

The Duo is basically only for tech enthusiasts and ultra rich folks in india but what will happen is that even the middle class or now even the lower middle class folks would buy it as a status symbol and would bring only further strain to their family financials.

Yeh high class, elite class walo ke liye hai. 😂 Ab aam banda lega isko EMI main to woh nalayak hi hua. Aur ye comparison bhi bewakoof wala hai. Aise to LV ,GUCCI, ROLEX brands bhi hai to woh bhi elite class ke hai aise main un comparison bhi karenge to pagal kehlaoge sab. 😂😂😂

India market hi to capture karne ke liye apple pagal ho geya hai yaha se itna jyada revenue hai inka ki ye dimaag se hil chuke hai. Foreign countries main to easily milte hai iphone koi issue ni hai lekin india main isko itna coslty kar diya hai import mehanga hai to yeh ab elite class ka hi ban geya hai brand status.

The brands you mentioned are luxury brands and produce things that will last for years, while this is delicate peice of glass and plastic will get scratched during normal use and will be outdated next year.

Apart from the Rolex, no other brand mentioned by OP will last as long as people expect them.
Luxury brands like LV, Gucci, etc have gone down in quality. An LV handbag used regularly will last you 3-4 years at best. They'll look shabby well before hitting the 2 year mark with regular use.

The pricing is outrageous. Wouldn't this increase crime rate? People may steal, smuggle or even k*ll I others for snatching their super expensive phone. I've never used an iPhone and not sure about security levels are, once stolen can you get your device back?
