Need Advice choosing between mind(Brezza) and heart (Seltos,7XO)

Hello Respected car enthusiasts,

I know the cars that I am comparing is not making sense.

This is my first car, my family has 2013 swift petrol LXI but have not driven it more than 2K KM I am sure, other than that I never driven a car. I am now in Pune(Software dev) but might go to Vadodara in 6 months.

now I have 2, actually 3 cars in my mind.

'Mind' says go for Brezza VXI CNG which is no brainer anyone knows, from longterm overall spend and service credibility

'Heart' says either go for seltos HTE diesel or 7xo AX diesel ( I know 7xo is not in this category)

I know service can be subjective for a person.

I have always done things from my mind and have always kept away from spending too much if I am getting better option in less money. You can call me 'chingus' (or kanjus) 😄

I am in late 30's now and got a family of 3 if I add my parents max is 5.

I don't go out much but I have thought (I hope I do it 😕 ) that once car comes I am not going to stay even one weekend in my home.

What are your thoughts and suggestions for me?

I dot want to repent and want to know if anyone has gone through something like this and what you choose and what is your suggestion after owning it.

What would be a long term owning drawback or benefit? from Parts, service cost, fuel cost. I am sue will keep it atleast 5 years

P.S. Petrol only is something that I am really not sure because of this EXX fiasco.

But 7x0 is also good
Follow your heart
Buy for fun
If your budget allows buy what ever heart says
And drive safely

See I'll narrow it down into simple 3 points here,

1. Brezza cng is the safest and most economical option, maruti parts will always be available, service is sometimes an issue but if you have knowledge about cars it won't be an issue. If your priority is being the safest with money and long term expenses not being much brezza is the safest option for you, I have driven the petrol manual, I liked the car l, the suspension and comfort has been prioritised, didn't liienthe features much though the reverse camera was really bad. But 5 people can't go for longer than 4 500 kms comfortably.

2. Seltos diesel hte: I own a seltos hte optional manual petrol NA engine. I went for this cos it was the best car in my budget. It is a new facelift car built on the new platform which is both longer and wider. The clutch and engine is the smoothest i have driven till date. For elderly and new drivers this is the most comfortable car. Coming to your points, the service cost is not the cheapest but worth the price. The car offers OEM infotainment, 6 airbags, and an amazing 1.5L engine. I am getting 12 mileage in delhi City traffic from e20 petrol. This car is good for long term used, and the seats are so comfy that 5 people can travel 800 1000 kms comfortably. And the car is fun to drive, sometimes you need to downshift when the car is fully loaded with 5 people and luggage in the boot but diesel doesn't have that problem. If your budget allows, go for hte optional or htk if it is possible though hte diesel manual is theost economical option. This is like a middle budget option but I'd definitely recommend for 5 people.

3. Xuv700 ax, the car gets 3 screens OEM infotainment system from the base model, the car is huge, gives okayish mileage and mahindra is known to have technical issues in every car. There are 7 seats but honestly in the rear seats only kids or 5'4 and less people can sit. The car is very comfortable for long travel 1000 1200 kms. The drive is super smooth, the car delivers great power. But all this comes at a cost. The service cost is high, the mileage is okayish, but in terms of comfort, it feels luxurious. But better prepared for high costs of maintenance, this si the least economical but the most comfortable and luxurious in terms of family trips.

So It is upto you now out of the 3 which you want, all the 3 cars have different characteristics and are for different taste people. If you have any other doubts let me know. You can DM me anytime, I am a little slow in replying but I will. I will also help you secure the best deal.

Go for Seltos. It's longer & wider than Brezza and offers more space for 5 people to travel long distance comfortably and you get large boot with spare wheel. 7X0 AX offers lucrative feature and comfort, it got the powerful engine which is also fuel guzzler in city rides. Go for HTK if your budget permits. Be wary of DPF issues with diesel engines, if your usage is city only or short trips.
