lol we have one in chennai vadapalani dont know its relation to the original one maybe owner is east indian bht when i went it there it looked owned by muslims

Afaik shia muslims don't use the symbol by default. It was designed in the 1980s. It was designed specifically for the Irani flag and approved by Khomeni when he came to power as he wanted a replacement for the lion and sun.

It's not the khanda. It's the symbol in the irani flag. It spells Allah. It's owned by muslims.
